“ He who sweats more in a time of peace ☮️, bleeds less in a time of war “ - Spartans

"Face ten-thousand foes, as one enemy. Face one enemy, as though he was ten-thousand."
  • They're basically so confident of their might that they tell their enemy to f*ck around and find out. 😂

“We will fight in the shade!” That’s badass
  • @thebluestig2654
That's what happens when you're raised for war from Childhood.

My favorite Spartan story is when a Spartan warrior saw what he thought was a ghost, and instead of being afraid, he chased it down screaming "why do you flee, you who are about to die twice?!?"

Leonidas was 65 years old at the time of his last stand. Total badass

This is why Leonidas was remembered throughout history he is what every leader should be a strong stoic visionary who put his peoples needs above all else. He also really did slow the Persians conquest to almost a complete halt with his bravery and dedicated soldiers United the Greek world to stand and fight the corruption and finally when faced with certain death he told one of his brave warriors to tell their tale and faced his fate like a man. Absolute legend they don’t make people like Leonidas anymore leaders like him have long since faded from our world

When an athenian asked a spartan why their swords were so short, the spartan answered "It is long enough for the heart."

I like the Spartans, they give direct answers & speak no threats, only promises.
