The zone is the realest place. You are not the hero in there, even in the main mod, it does not revolve around you. Yes, you have a goal, and companions trying to help your goal. But the others do not really care if you die. The zone would still exist and keep on living.

Stalker is that song I use to listen to on repeat yet never want to hear again, but every now then I hear it playing on the radio and it makes smile as I remember every little detail.

Grinding through the radioactive slup. Barely making it out of an intense firefight in the abandoned buildings of Pripyat, patching yourself up to the best of your abilities and then climbing on top of a building to watch the sun set over the Zone as you smoke a sigarette. In pain, discomfort, dirt in your cracks, hungry, tired and longing for comfort - but you've managed another day. And once you return to the safer parts of the zone, you'll sit around the campfire and you'll exchange stories with your fellow stalkers. There's a sort of romance in this harsh, brutal and unkind world. A survival of the fittest and/or the smartest in it's purest form. But then in the safe zones, true warmth can be found among your peers. I could imagine stalkers wanting to keep coming back because their civilian life would feel meaningless afterwards, like veterans feeling numb, bored and out of place at home.

Помню когда сидел рядом с папой смотрел как он в толи в солянку толи в Оп 2.2 играл, я плохо тогда понимал, спрашивал а это что, а постреляй из этого, а покажи что это делает, помню даже какой-то момент где надо было лут свой виртануть а там бандит перекачанный был, папа не мог его никак убить, пока папа на работе был я пытался, много пытался, так радовался когда получилось завалить гада, даже на работу папе позвонил, потом хвастался что смог... Улетел в Москву потом папа, редко прилетает... Сохранения его все на отдельной флешке храню... Так что любовь к сталкеру у меня привита еще с детства...

Thank you for introducing me to an awesome band with this video! Reminds me of a lot of alt grunge/punk I listened to from the late 80s and 90s era 🤙 The melancholic track fits so well with STALKER!
