Removeing glaze from stainless steel plates.I watched a vid about 8-years ago cause I had same problem but even back then i knew it was not correct as i did abit of tooling for a yarht companey and nothing i mean nothing is truely flat.Ther is always gonna be a gap.Have a look as pass throu feeler gauges under my steel ruler and see for youself what i am talking about.If that was my valve clearence was out spec of 0,07 it wont start'you are going have to throttle it hard and just maybe it will fire up.Let it cool off and you sir arent going no-wher.You are walking.Its abit long chat but you are welcome.

    Ther are so maney vids online saying you must find a flat surface like a piece of glass 'but they dont show the feeler gauge can slides under your steel ruler flat up against your glass..

    Could it be that your ruler is not flat 🙂
