🎬 ABOUT THIS VIDEO SERIES
===============================
In this six part series we will reveal the wonderfully diverse rainforest of the Yasuní while also explaining what our plan is to help restore and protect this special place.

In the next episode in this series we will take you into the canopy where we have been placing camera traps and getting some fascinating results.

🔎 ABOUT THIS PROJECT
===============================
We are embarking on a new journey. To help protect the most biodiverse place on Earth.

Our new project, led by our own team of biologists, will aim to protect and restore rainforest in the buffer zone of the Yasuní National Park. Located in the Amazon region of Ecuador, this rainforest is home to the highest concentration of species on the planet.

We have laid the cornerstone by purchasing 140 hectares of forest (protecting 200 ha) that borders the national park, securing its protection and establishing a base for our project. Together with members of the local community and local experts, we will develop solutions to stop forest degradation and kick-start forest regeneration in the area.

    Please don't stop - keep buying, protecting and enhancing these wildlife havens! It's beautiful to see real positive change.
  • As an Ecuadorian from the amazon this brings me tears, the country is currently going through a bad crisis. A lot of people have turned to illegal mining and logging and its destrying our land so fast its incredible. I cant blame them, most of the ppl theyre just trying to survive in most cases so thank you for trying to preserve my home which i had to leave a few years ago. Started donating as soon as i found this video.

    i vote for unising indigenous names for the geographical areas. that way you teach something about the cultures that inhabit that place. It always nice to take a non-Eurocentric perspective on the land. Keep up the great work!

  • This so beautiful; this channel's projects are like a sapling that I watch grow to a glorious tree; I know that I might not have a hand in its growth or prosper, but I couldn't but feel pride and inner peace when I pass by it; new leaves grow and my happiness is greater every time.
  • The Amazon Rainforest has always fascinated me with how far it expands and how little we know about what lurks in the depths of it. A shame how we're treating our environment, I would like for some corners of this vast forest to remain mysterious and never be touched by humans.❤
  • @MICUTO
    What a place! This must feel incredible.
  • More mind blowing species . I can’t believe how densely packed in all of these creatures are, each fighting for its own space ❤

    I know I say this every time but I am so immensely proud to be part of this organization! Thank you for all that you do. And for allowing those of us who are physically unable to go out and make a difference to still be able to contribute! I do my best to contribute in other ways, but to me it's not the same as being boots on the ground. To me that peninsula looks like a green thumb. I would suggest "the green thumb peninsula"
  • My dad and i had the pleasure of going to see costa rica's rainforest. Gald you guys are protecting jungles.
  • @Nhkg17
    I like this project the most of all MossyEarth. Mainly because it was created at the initiative of ordinary people who would not be able to protect the area on their own. And they stayed with the project for the duration.
  • FINALLY A NEW VIDEO. i was asking myself when was a new one going to come out
  • @fintheifer
    I think "Monkey Paw" would be a cool name for the peninsula
  • @pumpkinchow
    That’s always been a dream of mine to save as much of the rainforest as possible. I hope one day I can make that possible and preserve as much of the most incredible place on earth. The rainforest is such a vital and important part of this world that I wish more people would care to protect. I don’t want to be in a world without it. Nature is everything to me. Thank you so much for everything you and your team our doing and truly wish you all the best in this endeavor. I hope more and more people become aware and do their best to help and protect such a stunning place. Keep up the great work just stay safe and have fun as well 🙋‍♂️✌️
