I am not a Southern Baptist, but I am a member of an Independent Baptist Church in Indiana. Our church is small and governs itself. Our pastor teaches from the infallible Word of God, and He does not fall from His Word. I'll be praying for the SBC as it will be tested, once again, by Satan, to adhere to the liberalism of questioning God's Sovereignty.

Not a Southern Baptist, but I'm encouraged by your clarity and courage, Dr. Mohler! God bless from California.

You will be rewarded richly for your loyalty to the Word of God.
  • NOT a Southern Baptist but was born again in a church that proclaimed strongly a pure and clear gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep up this great work! THANK YOU! ❤

Such as a time as this…speak truth, share the gospel, stand on sound doctrine, set our eyes on Christ!

Bravo. The Truth will set us free. And courage in holding to the truth and exhorting one another as iron sharpens iron is essential, necessary and part of our calling. As a Presbyterian brother, I encourage you to follow through!
  • I pray it all goes well and that the Bible will remain the Bible for this matter. Thank you Dr. Mohler!

I’m just leaving the UMC and can appreciate what you’re saying! Stand strong in your beliefs!
  • Thankful for the clarity and kindness of this restatement of historic Baptist theology

God bless you, Dr. Mohler! Having seen the apostasy of the United Methodist Church, the PCUSA, the Episcopal Church, and the Church of England over the last few decades, I am convinced that this is a decisive moment for all Bible believing Bible teaching congregations in the United States. May Jesus Christ give us wisdom and strength to stand for the gospel in a world that hates our Lord and His people.

Thank you so much, Dr. Mohler for your boldness and faithfulness to the clear truths of God’s Word. Know that the devil’s spears are headed your way, but also know that a lot of believers like me are praying for you and are behind you on your stance against the pressures from this world. May The LORD be with you, sir!

Passage of the bylaw will be of comfort and guidance to the dwindling number of churches which survive within the convention in future decades. Good job, Al.

Amen! So refreshing to hear a message like this in today’s world. Please keep toeing the line!!

Well said with conviction and kindness. I agree, it is an issue of Biblical obedience and not "your interpretation". Thank you.

Good work SBC on standing firm in obedience to the Word! From Canada

I’m glad to see the SBC taking a stand for the commands of God which are the Main thing. God bless you Dr. Mahler.

Glad to see/hear this. The SBC needs to get back to Scriptural based preaching and discard/dismiss Social based preaching. Some SBC churches preach a "social gospel" (which is no Gospel at all) in various forms. They are part of the SBC to get funding from the SBC, not to buy into or be a part of doctrinal integrity. When they can't get their way, they cry "racism". I say, LET THEM! It's time for the SBC to "slim down" and be a doctrinally sound convention rather than a rainbow coalition for the sake of unity and not offending liberals.
