This is a very especial track .Time to die is one of my old songs that I think deserved an update both in the mix, with some improved sounds and arrangements and also in the visuals.

  • “I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.

I found out, last month, I have cancer but hey I have hiked 7K miles in National Parks across the US and feel blessed.....
  • That scene is probably one of the greatest scenes in cinematic history.

You died in the movie in 2019, and you died in your life also in 2019...Rest in peace my friend Rutger Hauer...

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe... Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion... I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain... Time to die." This was Rutger Hauer's version of the original script. It is said that the film crew wept once filming was done. Thing is, we all must stand at Tannhäuser Gate and ponder what fate holds for us.

Time is our age old enemy - it is relentless and final

Tears in the rain is a true reflection on what goes on in real life we all live and die doesn't matter today or tomorrow it comes for us eventually, for example It's too bad she won't live, but then again who does just enjoy those times we have now becuase every second goes past the hour then day the month and year it doesn't stand still make friends not enemies
  • The rich and deep connection between this and end of Blade Runner 2049 is pure transcendence.

Remember seeing Blade Runner with about 5 people in a theatre back in 1982 summer in Portland. It hit me hard but too young to process all the meanings... His last soliloquy, uttering the words of his brief but brilliant life. Stretching out his arm to save Deckard. By saving Deckard, he honors his own life. And yes, perhaps even saving humanity from itself...
  • I met Rutger Hauer when he stepped off my flight from LA to A'dam 26 Dec. 1990. He had a bunch of heavy cases to get from the luggage belt and no one to help him. Very soft spoken and kind. I wasn't sure if I should speak Dutch or English (my first language being American) so spoke both... and felt foolish! Lol. Had big fleshy hands, just as you see in B.R. Always felt privileged to have met him. RIP "Roy".
  • Masterpiece...Tears in the rain❤❤❤❤❤❤RUTGER HAUER😢speech😢😢😢😢😢CULT FOREVER....WE NEVER FORGET....YOU...R.I.P.😢😢THANK LUX.....❤
  • That was Rutger’s own written line scripted for this part, the night before filming. It has to be one of the greatest quote and cinematic scene in Hollywood film’s history. R.I.P Vangelis🫶🏽
