Been living and working in Malaysia for 3 years. Took me a couple of months to realize what a gem this place is. Applying for a 10 year residency this month. Some massive pluses: Great lifestyle at a very reasonable cost Multi ethnic society, hence more accepting of foreigners Vibrant culture and reasonably paced (unlike Dubai or Singapore) Summer all year Easy access to all of Asia English is well understood No wokeness :)

Malaysia is not perfect but it's unique and has almost everything 👍🇲🇾✌️😊
  • I’m Malaysian and my spouse is British, this sounds like a good opportunity for us to retire back to my home country!!
  • Malaysia offering a great lifestyle compared to Indonesia, Thailand or Vietnam with reasonable cost compared to Singapore. Everything can easily reached here great modern cities, beautiful beaches, best tropical forest and mountains.

Malaysia wants to bring high 6 figures salary makars to there. Those people almost never leave their own country, here or other countries. I know many of them here in U.S. They haven't even been been to Mexico. And they have no intention to go there. Their vacation spots are in Florida and other U.S. States, depending on the season.

Malaysia offers a great lifestyle but I feel they don't know what they intend their MM2H program to be. It used to attract retirees who would rent/buy property and support the local economy. Then they changed it to attract wealthy investors. When that failed, they changed it again and now it's just too confusing. I'd be interested in living there, but not when they keep changing the rules. How can you trust your investment and lifestyle can continue as planned? I don't want to have to start all over in a few years.

Please make an updated video when there will be changes in MM2H next year. Opening Singapore bank accounts as a Mayalaia resident is a nice touch.
