Before this, I often complained about my own country, Malaysia. But since many times visiting neighboring countries, I now feel grateful to be a Malaysian.

I used KL as homebase while traveling in SE Asia from 2008 to 2010. I was not expecting to fall in love with a city, but I fell in love with KL. It was such a wonderful mix of old and new. As a solo female traveler, I felt safer in KL than any place else in SE Asia. It is a moderate country. Loved it!!

Everytime non-Malaysian said "cheaper" about Malaysia's cost of living, without the correct context, it's like a dagger to the heart for us Malaysian earning a living here being paid in MYR while raising a family.

Michelin star means nothing in Asia. They don't know Asian food. So a city having more michelin star doesn't mean it has better restaurants than another which doesn't.

Kuala lumpur has a good quality of life, and it's affordable if you compare it to Singapour and the infrastructure it's better in kl than. Bangkok , bangkok, it's good for nightlife
