Ok, I'm blown away. I was on 7th floor 1973-1975. My first room was 734. With Gene Stevens. I also lived in 721 and a couple others. Thanks for this walk down memory lane. Sad they blew it up in 2012.

You did an outstanding job. I lived in Wetzel Hall from Fall of 1993 until Summer of 1995. We had an awesome time on Wetzel 13, a.k.a. "The Penthouse."

Michael, My name is Ted Renner. I was the project manager for the Wetzel Hall implosion. I really enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing. Ted

Nice job Michael. I was in Henninger from '73-75; sadly I don't have a single photograph from that era. At the time, I of course didn't realize it was part of a once-in-a-lifetime journey. Thanks for posting. RIP the North Quad.

Nice video - thanks for posting. I see my old dorm in the background - Bayliss Hall. Wish I was back having a beer at Boot Hill...................

Thanks! Lived on the 11th floor 1987-1989. Had “the single” one year. Sad to see it imploded.
  • great vid. Lived there first two years of its existence. 8th floor. I remember you...didn't know you but I remember that afro. And Mary Wohead, and Chris, and Kathy (whom my friend Mel called "the Godess." Thanks.
  • Im amazed to see so much heritage and history at WIU I’m enrolled fall of 2021 . Crazy to think many years ago students my age went there and now they’re old with families and job

I never lived in Wetzel but when I attended WIU starting in 1970, it was one of the newest dorms on campus. Can't believe they demolished it. Wow. Things certainly change.
