Carson Wentz is a tough guy that attempts to play injured a lot of times. Even though he receives a lot of hate for various reasons, I'll never forget 2017 for him. Especially him throwing a Touchdown with a torn ACL.

The injury to Tom Savage is what’s known as decorticate posturing, and is indicative of a serious spinal/neurological injury. While it’s similar to a seizure, and can present as such, it’s a completely different situation which in certain ways is MUCH scarier as well.

Even though these were not graphic at all.. Seizures in sports are still some of the scariest things I've ever witnessed.
  • @alexlane9785
heres a fact. a hard enough broken bone, concussion or even tiny hit could cause seizures. a wrestler names daniel bryan hit his head on the barricade (a fence of pads to protect fans) after jumping out ring (fighting area) and had a seizure right away. he now lives with (i think he overcame) Epilepsy. please for everyone that read to this point, be careful! (this is for the tom savage one btw)
  • That’s crazy to see Tom Savage’s hands like that as of writing this comment, yesterday Tua got slammed to the ground against the Bengals and did the same thing. I thought I’d never seen that before or again.
  • @Tcam0720
It was sad seeing Wentz fall Could’ve had the MVP if he continued to ball out
  • @LexyThomas134
Collins got his ankles broke, then literally got his ankle broke on the same play
  • @Cryptum404
tua just had the same injury tom savage had wow
  • @jac_b6569
That carson wentz clip still hurts I wholeheartedly believe that his ACL tear is the reason why he’s been struggling
  • @Daniel-36
Wentz should get way more credit than he deserves. Guy literally tore his acl and then throws a touchdown pass to give his team the lead. That’s one tough dude
  • @kaykay3772
Dude, I remember something similar happened with Tua from the Miami Dolphins like it did with Tom Savage! He had sustained a concussion a week or two prior to playing against my team (Cincinnati Bengals), and when he was tackled to the ground to his back if I remember correctly, his fingers looked all messed up and he couldn't stand up. I always thought that it could've been a really bad nerve injury to his spine, but now I realize it could've been an invisible seizure we didn't know about. But then again, I'm not a doctor.
  • @MattyIcecubes
That injury ruined Wentz's career. He was damn good before blowing out his knee
  • @eckkd4252
With hindsight, this was the end of Wentz' career(in a sense.) He was really starting to have the look of a true franchise QB and he has never been the same since. For the most part, he's been awful, with occasional games of former glory.
  • @jalynhelms3761
Where’s the “graphic” part? There was 4 injuries that were the least graphic thing I’ve ever seen
  • @chaosawaits
Remember kids: it's only helmet to helmet if you're the QB
  • So with Savage, that’s not a seizure. That’s called decorticate posturing, and it indicates moderate to severe blunt force trauma to the brain stem involving the red nucleus and rubrospinal tracts. It’s not usually as bad as decerebrate posturing which differ from decorticate in that the former typically displays arms extended all the way down following trauma rather than decorticate in which the arms, as seen @2:02 flex instead.

I know this is from over 35 years ago, but another injury that should have been included was the broken leg suffered by Joe Theismann on a sack by Lawrence Taylor, effectively ending Theismann's career right then and there.
  • @smokefree08
Only Carson wentz Could rush for a TD, tear his ACL, and then have the TD called back.
