  • Man that was the biggest striper I have ever seen. You sir are a master fisherman by not only catching something like that but taking the time and care to make sure it survived the encounter. The sport could surely use more people like you.
  • The happiness of a man fishing alone on a lake, river or stream is probably the happiest a man can be without a woman šŸ˜Š

I always like to see Dave put effort into the recovery/well being of the fish. Great video as always!
  • Thank you Dave for making these videos for us and for taking us on your journey for that big fish. Thank you for your time on the water
  • I would like a vote here people to show Catfish Dave that we would like him to bring back his music in his videos. Like timeā€™s past. Well, itā€™s Ben 10 days since we took this pole and I think out of a couple of polls takers and leaving their comments about too much music on YouTube and all that but what I mean is if you go back to his older videos and when heā€™s cracking in a fish. He throws some music in there a little banjo or a guitar I just cool what is real in the fish and playing that music in the background Iā€™m not talking about playing music the whole damn video. Hell no what is cranking on the fish that is so cool when he puts his music in it
  • Dave, youā€™re the best. I know guys that would give their right arm for a ( trophy) like that. What a great fisherman you are. Total respect for that fish. Thatā€™s awesome.
  • @jimparker7778
I sure appreciate Dave's respect for that big striper. So many of the guys on the fishin' videos will do everything but write a letter to mama while they pose with some big bass instead of giving the fish a chance to survive
  • He's thrown back more poundage of fish in one day than I've caught in the past 5 years.
  • ā€œNot even a big fishā€ .. That first one is bigger than my current PB.. Dave thanks for the videos man, I came across your channel a few weeks ago and Iā€™m ā€œhookedā€ .. You have patience, Great tips and advice , and no big ego and fancy sponsors .. just a regular guy who loves to fish and is damn good at it!! .. If you ever hit the Ohio river I have some family owned property with a couple of private docks by Marietta! šŸ»
  • Loved the banjo when you hook up with a fish and greatly appreciate you taking care of that huge striper. Am a fan of your channel, Catfish Dave.

I make my living fishing and iam very impressed with Dave and some of the other Catfish content folk in their conservation efforts. I think people tend to pass judgement on Catfish guys when in reality iam seeing better fish care and catch n release practices from this group over any of the others. Heck of a day my man and great job caring for those prized specimens. Let em go let em grow

Canā€™t commend you enough for the treatment of that big stripper. Most beautiful fish. Happy to see itā€™s still alive šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ˜ƒ
  • @lou1958
Love how you respect the fish enough to take time helping them recover before releasing. Damn that was some big fish. Liked and subscribed.
  • Haha I remember back in the 70s as a little boy, me and my dad caught over 20 catfish one day. While dad pulled up anchor, I let them all go. He was not happy. But I slept good ! Catch and release. Awesome.
  • I've been watching your videos since your bank fishing vids. I do believe that's the biggest striper I've ever seen you catch!!
  • No misquotes. No bumping into fellow fishermen. Looks like a good reason to take off from work. Crows always got something to say
  • @bones6173
Nice to watch I remember watching al Linder in the early 1980s on regular TV and darn look at me know watching you tube šŸ˜… I still don't have anything but antenna TV but this is coolšŸ˜Š
  • @randall517
Love the way you handled that striper. A true fisherman you are.
  • @abouttime5000
I appreciate the time and patience Catfish Dave has with these large fish. Handle them as gently as possible before release so as to minimize damage.
