I got into divinity after i saw your elden ring and divinity video. Ive sinced played 230 hrs of divinity and it became my favourite game. This was then beaten by bg3 and honestly ive ner been happier with my gaming habits

Dos2 really is incredible. I was one of those people that got immersed in the FromSoft games (Bloodborne and the Souls series) and no other game could compete for my attention- until I gave Dos2 a try and then I was hooked. I couldn’t stop playing it and thinking about it.

BG3 wins story. DOS2 wins combat.
  • I was really waiting for this after people had time to play through BG3. I'm on the final fight in that game, but as I get close to wrapping it up, I couldn't stop thinking about DOS2. It's a much tighter experience for me and I love the characters so much. The gameplay is so refined and yet so fluid. Personally, I think it walks that blade a lot more finely than BG3. Of course, I don't think that makes BG3 better or worse. I'm glad that we have both, but I would urge people not to let the size and newness of BG3 to overshadow DOS2. It really stands on its own and shouldn't be brushed under the rug.

Ive always wanted to play DOS 1 and 2 but never got around to it. My wife got me Baldur's Gate 3 for PS5 and I'm absolutely loving it. It's definitely making me wanna purchase the Divinity series now and this video persuaded me even more.

Personally I preferred DOS2's action point system and spell cooldown for the combat turns. I was also a very big fan for wit determining initiative. Overall I feel it was a bit more fluid and easier to get the mechanics and build style than BG3. I'm really keen to see what lessons larian take from bg3 for their next game and I hope it also includes another collab with Chris avellone

I started this game a long time ago but never finished it. After beating bg3 I think I understand Larian better and am ready to go back to DOS2. Thx for reminding me of this game.

You are 100% correct. After playing DOS1&2, BG3, I think DOS2 is my favorite. Obviously there are big improvements to the cutscenes in BG3, but overall I think I prefer the DOS2 combat a bit more, and the story is more lighthearted for the most part.
  • I was not into turn based combat ever, until DoS2, it changed everything for me, Larian really did the trick. It was so good, I did multiple playthroughs and cried at the end of each thanks to the epic music and storyline. As soon as I saw Larian's logo with BG3 I knew I had to play, I bought it the first day of early access due to my trust in their enthusiasm, a trust well placed. 300hr in BG3, and I'm still seeing stuff on YouTube that I didn't know. I hope to get a DoS3 and BG4 in the next decade. Larian Studios has my money as long as they keep making these awesome games. May their reign never end.

I haven't finished D:OS 2 yet but I love the fact that being Undead can be picked as something to build your character on.
  • @Greenhead24
Larian studios needs to buy the rights for KotoR, Who else would you guys trust to make a KotoR 3 after the success of BG3?
  • @snowballandpals
I just beat it for the first time last night - definitely became one of my favorite games of all time
  • @jd3428
Best game ever. The music is so captivating and immersive. Excellent narrator, characters, and story line. The combat is extremely dynamic and fun. Lots of replay ability.

Got into Divinity 2 rather by accident, looking for a game I could play cooperatively with my nephews. I'm a long time D&D ttrpg player, and had introduced them to the mmorpg Neverwinter. Which we had played extensively. What sold me on it was a reviews calling it the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate, including a review of yours. Oh, and your build guides. I was already playing Divinity 2 when BG3 was announced, and the fact that Larian was making the game instantly sold me on it.

I Played DOS 2 for 740 hours in local coop with my wife. We love the game so much. BG 3 is awesome and we are about to end our 2nd journey, but it doesnt give me the DOS2 vibes. I love how u actually feel gettin stronger through Equipment, i miss that in bg3. Also the final fight of BG3 didnt Catch us that much.

It's great to find an honest person who knows everything. Thank You!

I loved bg3 sooo much that I’m looking for something similar & I figured why not look into other Larian studios games (bg3 was my first game in whatever category that is)
