Every Forza game gets delisted after 4 years because of licensing

this shouldn't be worrying, you can still and always be able to play the game offline unlike NFS or the crew.

To day it is kind of pointless to have the cd/dvd in your hand, 80% of the game is data you have to download anyway. The only upside to owning the dvd, is that you can use it many times on any account, okay dlc's you have to buy again. I don't think FH4 is pulled from online stores is a license problem, FH5 is so bad, that the player base are going back to the good ones.

I'd download the game files and store them locally as well, in case Microsoft pulls a Ubi and starts revoking licenses. Even though the game isn't an online only, a precedent as been set.

i think games should now come with expiry dates, like milk, the annoying thing is most games are shipping buggy or broken or fragmented into DLC so some of us who work for our money find it cheaper and more convinient till the game has been on the market for a while and is now stable and has more content but the problem is then a year pr so after it is then taken of the marketplace which is a sad thingi think games should now come on like mini ssds as the new version of the physical copy since the size of games is now massive
  • I've got a disc version of FH4. Does that mean that I can still play single player/offline till the end of time?

i thought it was already de listed and i got a mod and ended up getting a 20 year ban. i also thought that anything online was gone. dont do what i did and if you know how, please help me.

will you still be able to play the game even after it's delisted? and can you play it online too because i think online support might not be available after december 15th

Licensing issues are normal in racing games, specially in one with over 700 cars. This is why Rockstars uses fake brands for cars on GTA. Honestly I have never seen a company handling delisting as well as Xbox with Forza Horizon 4. They normally don't update the game or change anything for its life after the delisting. Also, you have 6 months to buy the game. You lose NOTHING from this. In fact, if you bought a DLC when you played the game using Game Pass, Microsoft will send you a key for the game, no matter how cheap the DLC was. This has nothing to do with physical or digital media, or PC and consoles. If you own a physical copy, it will still work in the future, with its multiplayer, events and all. If you own the digital version, then you'll be able to download the game and play it as normal. The good part is that the discount is so good that it has over 3 times the amount of players Horizon 5 has, so you could take the 25 most played racing games (actual racing, not like GTA V or Rocket League), combine their numbers of active players and still have less than Horizon 4. It has more players than ever before ("ever" meaning even more players than when the game was brand new). Forza Horizon 3 players can still play the game with its multiplayer too, and we, people who played that game, saw this happening to all Forza games, and we knew this was going to happen to FH4. Would it be better if the game could never get delisted? Sure, but that isn't realistic. If you buy the game in the next 6 months, you are not losing anything. Everything is going to be fine. Playlist are going to be gone, but they are replacing them with something else, which is why I say that they are handling this really well.

RIP the best forza ever made

This is why I'm mad I've been playing Horizon5 for the past 7 years 🧐☕️ GTAVI and Horizon6! Neeeeeeeooow!
  • @Thewa5ian
This is nothing new this has been happening since ps3/360 days
  • @firun2635
What is really lame about this is how they just end the festival playlists. Why not just loop the playlists from the start to the end over and over?

Horizon 3 ,4 and 5 are all cracked and can be downloaded for free anytime on PC. The thing that we should be concerned about is Horizon 2 which will be completely extinct in few years since it was a xbox one exclusive. Xbox one still isn't modded and the emulator for it doesn't exist meaning that Horizon 2 is unplayable and will be completely gone. Physical copies of it are also really hard to find especially it's expansions which are borderline impossible to find and buy (Prices are also huge).
