Over a dozen former SeaQuest Folsom employees come forward after ABC10 investigation

This is why I have never taken my children nor will I ever take them to such a place. Profit over living creatures.

Somebody with direct knowledge of the animal abuse, file a police report and push for the district attorney to file charges against the owners and CEO, along with everyone that was knowingly giving orders to neglect the animals. Torture of animals is a crime and the perpetrators in charge and the management that are knowingly continuing these acts can and should be charged and be made an example of. Band together, testify, cooperate fully with any investigation to assure they are charged. People that do these things intentionally have no soul and belong in prison, God forbid they have pets at home, or children for that matter. Good for all of you for coming forward. Your community supports you guys that actually care. We generally try to live alongside and respect the wildlife in the Folsom area, and we expect no less from the owners and management of those animals.

If I had the money id buy the whole sea quest company or just the Folsom location. Cancel the animal interactions. Rehome all the reptiles, birds, and mammals to zoos and sanctuaries. I’d make it an actual educational aquarium.

Holy hell…refrigerators full of dead animals that are months old and rotting? This whole story is insane. Corporation needs shut down and people held accountable. Unbelievable.

Horrible! The commodification of nature is always at odds with real conservation and the facilities are always inadequate. It's better to drive the kids 6 hours to the coast to interact with actual tidepools. It's better to do a family vacation to actual biomes where these animals live.

The one here in Utah is no different, according to the ex employees I've talked to. The company is too corporate across the board and the animals always lose.

This reminds me of a Reptile Shop in Hayward called the “Reptile Room” most of their Reptiles are sick, dying, and dead!
