"Kiss the staff" one of the best lines in the game :)
  • Incredible video!! Honestly, I view STO as more lore accurate than Picard, and see Lower Decks as synergizable with STOs stories so far.

Thanks for doing a video on this ship. I WISH they would update the seating like the visuals. The Mantecore is my favorite design in Star Trek. It just LOOKS like if the FED made a warship to fight the Borg and Dominion. It's a product of a malevolent universe kicking the UFP in the groin over and over again since wolf 359. And honestly Nog _DESERVES _ to have a cannon command under his belt. Erin Eisenburg was an incredible actor and just an all around good guy.
  • The most important part of having a Ferengi as your captain meant your ship's logistics were second to none.

Great lore vid. The Chimera is certainly one of STO's most iconic original ship designs and doesn't get enough attention IMO.
  • @RobMR3
I love my Fleet Chimera. Thanks for the background.
  • This is cool man. I know you have tons of time lol, but I'd be very interested in any other lore summaries you might have planned!
  • @Dracounguis
Personally I would take the STO timeline over anything Picard, Discovery, SNW has put out.
  • I seriously thought I was watching Certifiably in game until I noticed the voice was different and looked at the channel logo lmao. Great video, thank you
  • @KallMeHobbs
Nice work on this :yt:Stu :hand-purple-blue-peace::goat-turquoise-white-horns:
  • @Jay-ql4gp
A very nice video, on a ship almost no one uses. I enjoyed it! Thank you!
  • @Maj_Kasul
Excellent video. Never played the game. Still enjoy the world. Thank you. 🎉
  • Would be nice if they made asking off of deep space nine with captain nog.
  • My favorite ship of all time, and we need a hero class version.

I like the Chimera and Manticore. Tough little ships. Also, I think a series centered around Nog and his career would be great. They'd have to get someone else to play him, but I think that would be a great way to honour Aaron Eisenberg's legacy and memory within the franchise. But only with permission from his family. If this is done, it gets done right . No compromises here. My idea would be for Star Trek: Chimera to show Starfleet's relations with several alien species in the Trek universe through Nog and his career, as well as through his crew. The first couple episodes could serve as a bridge from where he was at the end of DS9 to him getting command of Chimera . Then we follow the ship and her crew as they interact with the various species and powers in the post-Hobus Supernova world. In canon, this would allow a fleshing out of the Romulan Free State and how it differs from Sela's Romulan Star Empire and Romulan Republic founded by D'Tan. Helping the Romulans through a faction war would effectively show Nog's character, as well as those of his bridge crew, at the very least. And if they were also to adapt the Iconian War, it could also include the long lead-up to it. Va'Kel Shon could even come in as the new replacement commanding officer of the refit Enterprise-F in Shelby's place, the Titan-B being found as somewhat lacking as a flagship on a Starfleet level, although she could serve easily as a command ship on a smaller scale. Instead of being returned to the museum due to a shortage in ships following the events of the Picard series finale, the Enterprise-D could be refit as a Yamato- or Ross-class, and renamed USS Challenger , with Geordi as her commanding officer. However the TNG crew have had their stories, so they would only appear as cameos and in large fleet actions, which would happen seldom. The same could go for Tom Paris, Harry Kim, and other returning luminaries. The main focus of STC would be Chimera and her crew. New stories, not constant nostalgia, as current Trek has continuously been doing. Whether the series would include the Iconian War, or that would be its own thing would be something to determine. If it would be its own mini-series, and include many perspectives that way, then STC would have only the lead-up, and end at the start of the war proper, with the possibility of returning to Nog's story after the war. This would mainly be because the Player, Sela, and the Iconians themselves are the central players in the Iconian War. Nog and Chimera take supporting roles. Trek mostly tracks Starfleet stories, so we rarely go very in-depth with aliens. Since Nog is an alien Starfleet officer, he can straddle the line, allowing for a greater exploration both of powers we know, and those we don't. He can shift the focus away from what we know of the human Starfleet culture, into one more driven by his sense of self and justice, and how the Rules of Acquisition fit in.
  • Always liked this ship, I actually use it as my go to ship built for T.O.G
