I found you through your 5 hour Ratchet video. I love that game, and to hear someone talk about it in such great detail was incredible. But your essay was also put together well, and I don't think that's something you can fake. If you hadn't cared about the game, it wouldn't have resulted in such an essay. And the essay is why I subscribed. My point is: keep doing what you actually enjoy, because that is ultimately where quality stems from. And quality is what I think we should all strive toward, whether the fruits of our labour reaches 100 or 100,000 people.

You have opened my eyes to how I can emotionally connect to art so much, and because of your videos and the effort you put into them I will always tune into your videos, anytime and every time. Thank you so much Micah!

You voiced so many things i felt about Rift Apart in such an honest, artistic, & sentimental way. That means so much to me? To know someone else just feels as MUCH towards Ratchet & Clank as I do, in present day, with the same kind of commitment to loving the series through so long a time period. Just?? Thank you, not only for making it, but sharing it
  • @Exigentable
I'm a big fan of yours and have been for many moons, and I continually get excited when I see your name pop up. You do a great job on your work, and when I found your first Arkham video it was a wonderful experience. Well done top to bottom, keep it up.
  • Bro you are the GOAT. I found your channel off of a random youtube comment about Arkham Knight and I'm glad I did. Your retrospectives pretty much perfectly encompass my thoughts and feelings about Arkham.
  • @tanji998
I saw your Ratchet and Clank video and immediately gave your channel a try. So far, I'm really loving your work.
  • Dude, do whatever you want, it's your channel, your life. I'll be here any time for whatever you decide to make.
  • I have watched your Arkham Asylum video when it came out and immediately subscribed, then totally forgot to look at your backlog until you released your City video, so I recently watched your Ratchet & Clank and Last of Us Part II videos as well as your two Arkham City videos, and it's been a positively sublime experience! Your Last of Us Part II video in particular resonated more with me than the videos on the R&C/Arkham franchises, even though being a massive fan of the latter two and not even having played the former myself. I had such conflicting feelings about TLoU2, but didn't quite feel comfortable taking part in much discussion about it due to "only" having watched a Let's Play of it, and your video helped me a ton in making sense of what even it was that I was feeling with regards to this game. I'm looking forward to whatever you feel comfortable sharing with us in the future, in whatever form it takes. In terms of your "silly" side, I think it was pretty clear that the rap part was something you really wanted to do rather than something that would lead into some greater point in the future. And as someone for whom that part didn't quite land, I still appreciate you embracing this side of you and I, sincerely, want you to continue doing it and stuff like it, despite my preference. It's not a big deal for the people who don't get much out of it, and as far as I can tell, a lot of other people seemed to have enjoyed it! And lastly, I wish you and anyone else here a most wonderful day!

I remember commenting on your Tomb Raider video. I've been watching your stuff this whole time since then.. I genuinely don't know if I've left any comments since that video though, and I also can't even find my comment on your Tomb Raider video. Anyway, I said in that comment that "I don't really need to see another video game analysis from you", something to that effect. It's interesting how there have been so many more video game analyses on this channel. I think what I meant was just that, I'm invested in your analysis moreso than your topics. Your "Some Movies I Like" video was as creatively energizing to me as that Tomb Raider video was, as much also as your Nolan Batman take, as much also as the asagao academy deep dive. I think you have a way of articulating your relationship to art and your understanding of what makes creating things challenging and interesting that is like, completely absorbing to listen to. I guess this is all to say, thank you for these MANY years of sobering and intricate insights.

I just came across your channel, but I’m very glad I did. Keep up the good work Micah!

I've been here since the original Arkham retrospective and what I liked the most out of it and all of your other videos is how personally driven they are, more than the familiarity of the franchise that obviously drew me to the vid itself. It compelled me to start watching the other few videos you had put out at the time and I loved them because of the same reason. I love how you combine analysing aspects of media that are core to their design like the mechanics of a game And also your personal experiences with the media. How you notice things that I've seen no one else talk about like the way Arkham Asylum treats mental health or your very personal Tomb Raider video. So no matter what media you cover I'll watch it cause you kick ass at making these

I found you from your first Batman video and I’ve watched many of your videos I prefer videos with this length above those 20 minute videos please continue and thank you for the effort and time you put in to these. This is just a work of art but a work of the soul I hope many more see that again Thank you

Hey mate, just wanted to drop a comment. I just rediscovered your work after initially coming across it a couple years ago (through the Ratchet Nexus video), and for whatever reason I didn't subscribe. But this channel always stuck with me in the back of my mind, so I was stoked when I stumbled across it again by chance just now, and was happy to find your work is as good as I remember it. Keep doing what you do my guy <3
  • @pugilism
i just love listening to your thoughts, man. it's so fun to follow what you're offering, whether it's a blunt and straightforward statement, or the meandering and often self-effacing threads that help your videos stretch so long. sharing one's 'real' personality feels so scary sometimes (especially in this ever-tightening sanitized era of the internet), and as you've mentioned it's not the most profitable approach or anything... but i feel true joy when i see i need to block out multiple hours just to listen to your earnestly felt, sometimes difficult opinions. the effort you put into your work connects with me and others in a unique way, and i hope you can really take some pride in that, even though it's kinda overwhelming and strange. maybe if you keep on with your nonstandard creative approach, you can be a bit strange and overwhelming right back, and limit how much you have to deal with... haha.

Most youtubers, even if they make good videos, feel like content farms you always felt undeniably human your videos exude personality its always interesting to hear your perspective because it never feels regurgitated from someone else. You can tell its yours, you stand out so much its refreshing, probably my favourite youtuber <3

okay listen I gotta admit that I found you because of your Arkham Asylum is over Vid and that I feel a little bad for not having found you earlier (Ik you said we shouldnt be but I do because everything of yours is worth a watch for me, the old and the new) I began watching mainly video essay's about art-related topics (mostly games and movies) probably a year ago because it was one of the few times other creators could really spark new ideas or perspectives in me or show me that Im not the only one who felt a certain way. And you my dear guy really inspired me with your Arkham video back then for not praising it to heaven like almost everyone else I watched seemed to do and giving valid criticism that's overlooked by many. Your video about your favorite movies is one of my favorites for expressing your feelings and the way you connect with them in an honest and precise fashion. I think Im not the only one who perceives the content you put out there as something very special. Its very difficult for me to explain why exactly that is but I think its kinda similar to thinking about a movie or video game long after you watched or beat it because of its presentation, themes, stories or approach to certain scenes. To be honest the thing I like most about you is that you put out what you feel like putting out, whatever that may be. Im sorry if I cant give a clear direction where to go with your content, all I can say is that everything you made up to this point is great in my (and lots of others) opinions and it doesn't bother me at all if the next video is out in a year+ or takes 4 hours to watch. PS your raps are awesome ;)
  • @dirant5211
Although I do not agree with most of your negative and some positive points you made about Arkham Asylum and City, I found myself enjoying watching them as much as I enjoy discussing with my friends about anything. The production value and the extensive length of these essays let the "conversation" around it to develop so much. I'd just love to see you make a 5 hour long video about one of my favourite games of all time, DEATH STRANDING.
  • @Daresis
Been here since the OG Arkham retrospective was your only video. It's been amazing to both see the improvement of your editing and how consistently personal and passionate each video has felt. Keep it up man, I hope you never stop!
