  • “so cwunchy” never gets old 😂😂😂
  • Damn, 80s Chinese kids were hardcore. Just straight up chili powder as a snack 😂
  • @hemanthbt
As kids we would carry salt and chilli powder in paper like this. On the way to school or coming back we would pluck or pelt stones at all type of tangy fruits like tamarind, raw mango, star fruits or tree sorrel. Those were the most happiest, care free days of my life. I miss my childhood. I am from Karnataka , India.
  • i cant believe how 2 powerdery flavoring things make a good snack and the fact that its sweet and spicy
  • @annhans3535
Growing up in the West Indies, it was green mango with salt and pepper. We eat that until we can't hear or see anymore. So good.
  • Reminds me of my favorite snack growing up in San Antonio,Tx in the 70's... For a quarter, we'd get a Huge sour or dill pickle + a tiny paper bag filled with salted dried plums. We would stuff the salted plum deep into the center of the pickle that way, by the time you got down to the salted plum, it would have absorbed all that briney goodness..... Awe,..good times 💕

The "big head" pickle is a 'Zha cai'.
  • As a south Indian, after school we'd rush to buy pickled gooseberries n mangoes. We'd also sneak in sachets of pickles n pickle juice to munch on in class😅😅😂
  • I love her energy and the way she pronounces crunchy😭😭🙏🙏💗

Can relate with the second snack.... 😂😂 But that was definitely the best snack because my friends and i sit & laughed together at the frugality of our snacks. Thanks for reminding me of my school days. Love from India
  • reminds me of me and my mexican friends in school when we used to put tajin in our hands and eat it just like that 😂 any hispanics that can relate?
  • In the hood we would eat this snack all the time pickle coolaid with sugar in a zip lock bag back in the 90s too
  • I’m from Hawaii - our childhood snacks were raw saimin. Break up the pieces, add half (or all if you like it real salty) of the seasoning and eat it straight out of the package. Another afternoon school snack - a can of tuna tossed on rice. Add shoyu all over it and - ono!! Or my favorite after school snacks came from the manapua trucks - manapuas, pork hash, fried noodles and rice cake. Top it off with a can of Diamond Head Strawberry Soda 😋
  • Mexicans can totally relate to the chili powder type spicy flavors mixed with sugar, there’s an entire line of candy that is solely that! A lot of it is tamarind too which is absolutely delicious

Just a warning to the people wanting to try the pickle; it's called mustard pickles (Zha cai in Chinese) that has an extremeeeeeely funky smell because it's fermented and I would say its a few levels funkier than kimchi. But, I loveeeee it in soups :) the chilli and sugar seems delicious to me!!! Imagine mixing in some peanuts or roasted sesame seeds 😍
  • In the 80s, we used to put Laury's seasoning salt (It was more seasoning and less salt back then. ) in a sandwich bag. We would add water, tie it closed with a rubber band, make a tiny hole in the corner and enjoy. We also ate individually wrapped, fat spicy pickles. It's amazing how similar our snacks were.
  • lol, the piece of animal hair on it (right hand side of the pickle) relatable! <3
