Ollie has this kind of presence that states, "Hon...I'm 16 and a half years old. I've seen it all. I've done it all. You can do your worst...you will not break me!"
  • Olivander is such a tolerant cat. The fact that he actually laid on his side and let you do that is amazing to me. He worked up an appetite after his groom

The first time we shaved my friend's very ancient cat, she was very confused but tolerant. The second time? She was in heaven. The feeling of knots being removed and knowing she wasn't going to have a ton of hair to groom made her so happy. Miss you, Sassy girl. You were a good cat.

That “Meow” of dissatisfaction at 6:19 was just hilarious 😆 Ollivander was probably just like “I guess this is my life now…

Kudos to Olivander’s owner for taking such great care of him. He’s such a good boy and was very tolerant of his groom 💜
  • That deeply offended look he gave you when the treat was under his nose was just pure cat hauteur…. “I am not so easily bought woman!!”

Cats + happy hoodie = eastern european gramma, & i'm permanently here for it.

I remember the struggles getting my cat to even get near a carrier..then watching these cats at the groomer that are like: "What? You want me to leave this wonderful carrier? I will have you know that carrier is my ancestral home!"

He was definitely calmly and politely plotting your death while on his side in the rage cage. I bet he was composing it as poetry, maybe haiku. So cute!!! I love the lion cut. ❤
  • I had a Maine Coin that lived 23 years. She needed a lot of extra help with her grooming the last several years of her life. I think she was grateful for the help! Olivander seemed mostly happy too!

I have cared for elderly cats, am caring for two of them right now, both over 15 years old. A person's vanity should never outweigh the comfort and needs of a pet. Shaving a long-haired, matted, elderly cat can be a massive relief for the cat and should be considered first before the "prettiness" of the hair.

"How dare you bribe me with food, I'm no fool Miss" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  • @MoonFairy11
He needed that shave. You can tell in his demeanor he is feeling much better.❤
  • @kaiknlast
he was really sweet and tolerant even though he was low on his kitty timer. you can definitely see that he was protective of his back legs, which makes sense with his health problems. your compassion and professionalism always shines through, thank you for helping these animals <3

For my Himalayan cat I preferred the lion cut as she got older. Would have the groomer do it in the late spring and my cat was more comfortable in the summer heat, as well as fewer hair balls and she was better able to clean herself. By the fall enough of the coat had grown back for her comfort during the winter. Plus always thought she looked super sporting the lion cut! You made Ollivander look great!

I had a Himalayan cat that when she was just a very small kitten, I took her to the groomer. She went every month and she was the Only cat they would groom. They trained her from 5 weeks old until she passed away. She was strictly an indoor cat. The rule in my house was that whosever she was sitting on, one of them was required to brush her while watching television. Perfect cat.

what a gentle old man. thank you for prioritizing his comfort and well-being
  • I will admit I've never been a fan of this cut on a cat however in this case I totally think it was the right call given how old he is,his health and avoiding pain and problems in the future. Thanks once again for putting the animals health and well-being above all else. ❤

my heart just melted seeing this stately old fellow with his cloudy eyes. the first cat i ever adopted passed away last year. he was already well into adulthood when i got him and i had him for a decade. he was this old and world-weary by the end of it. i was bathing him and brushing him regularly too and he was so sweet and tolerant. the only time he ever voiced a complaint was when i had to cut his nails, and even then it was just a resigned grumble.
