In this video I go to Sarawak, Kuching in Borneo for the first time.
We head over to East Malaysia to the giant Island of Borneo. An Island that shares a state with Sabah, Tiny nation of Brunei, Indonesian Kalimantan and Sarawak.
I visit the capital of Sarawak, Kuching to learn about the history and eat some of the best dishes on the island such as Apam Balik and the breakfast of the GOD's Sarawak Laksa.

Hope you've really enjoyed your time in Kuching, Sarawak. And yes, we really take pride in our Laksa Sarawak because it tastes like no other laksas out there haha. I usually have mine with the glass noodles or vermicelli but if I'm extra hungry, I'll have it with the kolo mee or the Hokkien (Chinese dialect) would say 'kiu mee' with kiu being curly or frizzy and mee being noodles, then it can last me all the way till dinner time. Breakfast of the gods indeed, rest in peace Anthony Bourdain. Once again, thank you for coming to Kuching and presenting us to the rest of the world. Oooooo haaaaaaa........
  • Welcome, I am a Sarawakian too. I live in Miri which second largest city in Sarawak. She speaks such a good English! I really impressed by her ability πŸŽ‰

I'm from the southern part of Peninsular Malaysia, and I have Sarawak laksa almost every weekend. It's comfort food as far as I'm concerned.
