You make me miss Alaska more every time I see your videos. Work took me to Texas and there's not a day I don't miss seeing the mountains. And mosquitoes lol. The ones down here are small, quiet and bite you before you can see them. At least the Alaskan mosquitoes have the curtesy to announce their presence and be large enough to see.

Its a joy to see you out there capturing such beautiful content! I have lupine fields where I and keep saying I will try and get some birds in them. I will have to bump that up the list next June.

Beautiful images! Thanks for sharing, Scott. Funny, I just got my first photos ever of Savannah Sparrows in mid June. To think they winter as far south as Mexico, and you're 1500+ miles (as the crow flies) NW of me here in west central Alberta. Tough critters, for sure !! Cheers,

I think I have it…. Your videos are presented to us in a way that reflects how many of us approach our own shoots. We choose a location, and we wander, and we shoot to record what we see that day. The wandering is important, be it 100 yards or 5,000. That’s not important. It’s that capturing of the moment or moments that makes the images different, ours, and interesting.

This one threw me. Starfish is not something I would associate with Alaska for some reason! Beautiful wok on the lupines with beautiful birds and mountains in the background! At one point, I heard cars going by. I love finding pockets of nature in busy or populated areas. Nature is everywhere if we look for it!

That was absolutely beautiful. Wonderful colours and beautiful birds in a great landscape. It seemed the best video I have seen on your channel, and some great still photography as well. It was perfect for me because I’m just returning from two cataract operations in the last 14 days And everything looks so clear and sharp and the colours look so bright. Thanks very much.

Beautiful scenery. Love the purples and greens! A question/advice regarding the 200-800 lens. I do a lot of similar photography as you and I’m using R5 with 100-500 and just sold my 500f4vi due to the weight. I want to replace the 500f4 with either the 200-800 or 600f4vii that I can get for a decent price if it’s still available next week. Are you happy with the 200-800 in comparison to your 500f4 or is it apples and oranges?
