Part 1
In this video, we go through the process of re-creating a rare brake tail-light lens for a 1958 BMW Isetta. We go through setting up a properly made 2-part silicone mold with vents and a fill port, as well as many tips and tricks along the way. We will finally cast BJB's WC-783 Clear Polyurethane Resin in to produce a beautiful tail light lens that looks as good as the original!

Watch Part 2:    • Make Auto Rubber Trim w/ Silicone Mol...

Shop our selection of silicones or speak with our technical staff to help you pick the right one. We also have a huge selection of castable polyurethanes for making parts in the mold; from soft, flexible gels, tough rubber, on up to rigid plastics!

This was THE ONE VIDEO I've been looking for . . For Ever ! . . . . All of the others were . . A bunch of nonsense, equipment you don't need, music you don't want to hear and them being as Clueless as I was . . . . Thanks A Lot. 😁👍

I wish stuff like this was introduced in high school. I see this as an adult and I love it but it would take a lot of time to learn and be proficient enough to make a living off of.
  • This has to be a benchmark for informative videos, right down to the clear no nonsense response to questions.

Me and my father love the Isetta, on Brazil she was made by Romi, the Romi-Isetta. I dream in buying one and restoring it!

Will be trying to do this during the summer time. Lots of people in my car community want clear reflectors for custom taillights and headlights
  • I would love to see if you could make a clear lens from a 3d printed part. The videos are getting so much more informative. Thanks for sharing the information!

Excellent quality. I enjoyed that, thank you. I like the pop up tail lamps on the earlier cars. My Brighton built Isetta has Land Rover tail lamps.
