I’m a crew chief for C-130’s but I have a couple friends at Eglin AFB training to work on F-35’s. My buddy told me pretty much all their training is done in VR. It’s amazing what these fighters can do

Actually you CAN do a complete vertical takeoff in this game. You just have to turn on the hover mode that you can see on the monitor at 15:16 (small HOVER option on the centre panel in front of the nose of the jet) after you activate HOOK/STOVL. :)

Witnessed 4 of our Dutch F35A's yesterday at an Airforce Memorial performing the Missing Man formation. Some badass, LOUD and powerful machines compared to our legacy F16s!

In order to take of Vertical you need to be in low fule mode. The plane is to heavy to take off when it's fully fuled. The Realistic implication of STOVL is to land vertically after a mission when the tank is empty.

I’m a marine. Was on the ground in the Mojave desert one time during a training op when they called in an F-35B for notional air support. Most incredible thing I’ve ever seen

@7:45 a vapor cone is formed when there is a decrease in air pressure, density, and temperature. Plane is not broken So cool that they added the little things like this 🤩

The Florida Panhandle is so underrated! Some of the most beautiful beaches & beach towns around! Destin & 30A are awesome!

The problem with the more advanced jets are they are super heavy. You usually have to sacrifice maneuverability for more tech. They will lighten once we can compact some of the tech. Still a badass jet though.

My favorite plane is still the F-22 Raptor, the F-35 is a very impressive plane technologically, but for air-to-air combat, nothing beats an F-22, ever.

Bro I loved flying the f35 in BF4. The ability to dogfight other planes and then hover to lay down infantry fire was so dope. The science behind the real thing is amazing

i was born into an airforce family and spent a lot of time growing up at Luke AFB. It is incredible to see technology advance from F-16 to F-35s. A top tier jet!
