Published 2023-11-11
Hi everyone, Ashley here! In this video I compare all the different new (and old) Hobonichi A6 planners. I specifically go into detail about the new as of 2024 HON A6 English Edition, Original A6 English Edition, and the Techo Planner A6 Arts&Science English Edition which first debuted back in 2013. I hope this video can answer some of the questions you might have about what makes these planners unique and different from each other! Happy Hobonichi!

If Hobonichi came out with a B6 cousin the world would explode
  • @dlmarsh1916
My dream Techo would be an A6 set up exactly like the A5 Cousin.

What I really want isn't so much a size issue, but an English version of the Avec split-year books. Please, Hobonichi!
  • @brieanap
An English Avec A6/A5 would be stellar!

This was brilliant, Ashley! So clear and well-presented. I only use A6 techos for creative daily journaling (not planning) and have never realized the page differences between the beige and black cover books until now. I really appreciate your video here and will bookmark it for future reference!! Thank you!

B6 is my size, and this year I’m using the Aura Estelle because it has a Monday start for the weekly and Sunday starts for the Monthly! It’s exactly what I need. I do use the A6 Hobonichi Avec for art journaling with my son. We do a page a day; and that’s been fun.

just the overview I was looking for, thank you :)

Great job Ashley. Awesome as usual. You're the best. xoxo

I've been using arts & Science for 10 years. Every once in a while I think I'm missing the week view, but I love the size!

Thanks for the comparison Ashley. Really helpful. I'm too picky probably. I like Sunday start in English w/the days of the arts & science version but like the colors in the original. I'd prefer A5 though for my all in one.

Hi Ashley! I decided I will use the English a6 original this year! I love the comparison you made. Thanks for this video!😊as for size, I would love to see a B6 Techo. I don’t usually use the a5 Cousin anymore but you never know…

What a timely video ❤ I was recently gifted an A6 Hon and didn’t realize it was the first year 😱 or that they weren’t meant to have covers. I’m clumsy and live in a very rainy area, I need some kind of cover 🥺. I also like swapping pictures out under my cover during different parts of the year 😅

I use and love the A6 Sunday start. It would be nice if it was offered in the A5 Cousin size but I would still stick with the A6. So cute and portable! I take mine with me everywhere. I journal in the A5 5-Year Hobonichi and I love that, but leave it at home most of the time. Thanks for the comparison video! 😊

I started with the MUJI yearly planners in 2011 (R.I.P) T_T which were A6, but now I only buy A5, having all that extra space to write is so nice. I was having a hard debate over to get the Japanese or English cousin. but that 365 day check off on the English version i don't want to go without, its such a good mood tracker.
  • @AmyWPlans
My dream hobonichi is A6 size with the weekly like the cousin but blank undated pages in back for dailies lkke the hobo weeks. ❤
  • @Jessieannnwade
This video was so helpful to see the differences side-by-side - thank you, Ashley! ✨ As far as a Hobonichi Cousin size-dream: I’d love to have the Weeks style in the Cousin size (and with Daily pages still). I love the horizontal weekly pages, but I’m one of those people who likes to write in larger notebooks when possible, so the Weeks is always too tiny for me to organize. 😅 Or having the Original Techo in the Cousin size (so sans weekly vertical pages) would be so cool.

Great comparison video on features and differences. Still deciding which planner I would like for 2024. In the past I have used A5 Moleskine weekly horizontal with note page opposite. My question is and I might have missed this. Is the One Piece A6 in English? Would like to see the Cousin size One Piece.
