Published 2023-09-26
Hi everyone, I am so excited to finally be sitting down with our Planner Queen aka Planner Police aka Amy for this episode of Inside My Planner! Amy has such a love for all planners and always has the best ideas on how to use different stationery so I was especially excited to peer into her planners and see how she uses each one differently. In this episode, Amy shares how she's been using her Hobonichi Techo Original A6, Hobonichi Weekly Calendar Supplement, Midori Pocket Diary and Take-a-Note A5 planner.

Planner madness may be my favorite season. 😀 It's wonderful to see people fully embracing their love of all things planner and planner related. Thanks for sharing!

Amy, I simply love your sense of humor, voice, personality, and style. Your dynamic with Daisy is so fun to watch. Please make more appearances in videos! 🤣 Your labels remind me of little nametags for your books. I love the idea! Thank you for taking us through your multi-book system ☺️

Amy helped me find the Midori progress planner! I love her enthusiasm for planners, and I’m surprised she has resisted doing a video :) so fun

Do I NEED more planners? No. But did I just HAVE TO order that dog Midori for 2024? YES! Thank you so much for sharing Amy! I think you are really talking me into the TAN for next year too. I really wanted to love it for 2023 and I LOVE the way it looks but the grids are so tiny in it. It's going to take some serious getting used to for me.

no shaming here, I use several planners too. My media log is the Hobonichi Weeks. I think in terms of weeks mostly, so week by week, I list what I am streaming, reading, podcasts I am listening too…. I find it really helpful as I tend to have many things on the go at once, from several sources. Even my books might be on my kobo/ TPL, or on my kindle or a real paper copy of the book. My main weekly planner for appt., and scheduled to dos is the Jibun Techo Biz A5. I love Frixion pens and this paper is perfect for erasing. I also have big writing. I use another Weeks to log my spending. I use an A5 journal or daily planner to bullet journal my daily to dos.

Amy likes an in-house planner's doctor. "I will follow up with you." <3

Thank you for the planner video. Using a Hobonichi Weeks English version for 2024. Going to need lots of pretty stickers 😊.

Oh my gosh. I think I need that Midori Pocket Planner for my health appointments. Love this video. Thanks Amy.

Thanks for sharing, Amy! I use black ink for everything but appointments so they stick out!

DAISY. You need to read “The Arrival” by Shaun Tan, it’s beautiful and really hits home as a 1st Generation American ❤

Fantastic video. I love that Amy tries out all the books so I don’t have to. Thanks Amy. If I ever get to US Yoseka will be top of list to say thanks in-person to all the team for such great videos. I started off with one planner for all and found it didn’t work for me, I got too overwhelmed with the restricted space or too much going on, on a page. 2023 I had a planner and a separate undated notebook for free-page journaling so I didn’t feel restricted to a page if I needed to let go of more. 2024 I plan to have several books as I need to separate Health (living with several health conditions and lots of annual hospital appointments and symptoms to track), Personal - want to plan out my development, Work (I don’t just want to document appointments and tasks (like this year) but also (like with Personal) take-always from day to see if I can grow from what did/not work), Journaling - this has been a life saver for me and reminds me how useful it was for me as a teen (even though I stopped due to demands of life - glad I have gone back). I also used different colours for different areas of my life so I can see without ready which are my hospital appointments, mum’s hospital appointments - as I go with her, I have several jobs so each role has a colour pen that links with company logo so I know what I am doing for which job - like Authan.

I also use my pencil board under my hand when I write! So happy to see someone else using it that way !
