Use this video to guide you through the epley maneuver at home! This is a great technique to use for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. Check with your physician prior to performing.

Thanks for this. I can testify that it works for "BPPV." I was experiencing positional vertigo --- that nasty sensation of the world spinning, blurred vision and nausea --- when tilting my head back, rolling over in bed, or bending over. We did this procedure three times, and I found it unpleasant, because it DOES cause the "whirlies" and nausea --- keep a basin handy in case you vomit --- but an hour later I felt better, and the next day was symptom-free. This kind of self-help stuff is what the internet was made for. Thanks again.

THIS WORKED FOR ME! I’m a 48-year-old male from the UK. I developed what I soon realised was vertigo on a Friday evening whilst laying in bed. It was horrific, spinning followed by vomiting more spinning and vomiting. I’ve never felt so out of control in all my life, completely debilitating and exhausting. This went on all weekend until on the Sunday when I was able to sit down and have a look at some YouTube info on the condition , I found the Epley manoeuvre and gave it a go immediately twice on the right side with no obvious effects and then once on the left. As soon as I rolled my head over I could feel the spinning and my wife said that my eyes were twitching like mad, I just managed to control it so I wasn’t sick. I went through the manoeuvre holding for 60 seconds in the 3 positions, until I eventually set up. I still felt terrible and it didn’t immediately stop the nausea side of the condition so I went to bed sat up slightly. I woke up at 2 o’clock in the morning for the first time without the room swimming in four days I could’ve cried! I rolled over where I would normally have been back in a flat spin. I went straight back to sleep and woke up like nothing had ever happened. Thank Goodness, my relief was insane. I’d encourage anyone to give it a try.

I woke up this morning, did a workout and some yoga. Felt great the whole time. At the end of my practice I did a move at which point I got SUPER dizzy. Sat up took some deep breaths, came inside my house and laid down and started to feel nauseous and just horrible all around. I did a tele call with my DR and he recommended this maneuver. It took me a while to even try because I felt so bad..but I did it with the help of my 10 year old daughter. Took a 2 hr nap(propped up with pillows. keep head upright for rest of day) and woke up feeling MUCH better. I was even able to get out of bed for the first time all day and haven't got dizzy since. Wow, I used to think vertigo was just feeling a little dizzy..its next level dizzy!!! I wouldn't wish it upon anyone but this trick worked!!!!!

My husband had this vertigo Sunday, felt very ill, nauseated and dizzy. I googled vertigo on Monday and found the Epley maneuver. I did take him to urgent care to rule out anything serious and the doctor gave us an instruction sheet on the Epley maneuver. We did it Tuesday morning and he had no symptoms by afternoon. He is completely fine and back to 100% normal. The treatment works very well if you have displaced inner ear crystals. He even knows what caused it. It was the noise and vibration from standing too close to a jet engine at work. He got sick immediately and got well immediately after doing the Epley treatment.

I need to tell everybody that I had severe vertigo. Wim Hoff breathing exercise took care of it almost immediately. I am amazed and so grateful.

I have been suffering for awhile now. I have had vertigo along with newly diagnosed MS. Someone told me to find someone who could do this. I thought I would just check and see if there was a video. Found this and did it. I stand up straight now and I’m not falling over like before! Amazing! Thank you so much!

I suddenly developed really bad vertigo out of nowhere. I take no medications of any kind. Had the extreme vertigo for 3 days and found this video. Did the technique and now it's gone! It works! I can't believe it! So relieved. Thank you!

Excellent. For those of us checking to see if they have issues, this is a perfect demonstration. Thank you.

This has changed my life. I have been getting dizziness spells for the last 4-5 years. Could swear it was hormonal and to do with getting old. I came across this video and was very skeptical. The first time I did the exercise it felt like I was going to die. I felt so unwell that it took me over 2 hours to feel well enough to fall asleep. I knew I had to try it again even though my symptoms improved significantly as I wanted to make sure the other side didn't need it too. I put it off for a week, afraid of going through that again. Second time a week later I had the symptoms, but they were much milder and lasted a lot less. I did not have any more dizzy spells getting out of bed since the first attempt! Will definitely continue to do this until 100% no symptoms. This has truly changed my life 🙌

This procedure is amazing. A couple months back I started to get headaches and would get really dizzy every day. I was miserable I went to the ER twice and they said I had vertigo and prescribed me some meds that made things much worse. I felt sick and still felt dizzy. So I decided to make an appointment with ENT (Ears, nose & throat) he performed this on me and I felt better instantly. Im starting to feel it come back again but ENT doctor said I can do the Epley Maneuver at home. This stuff works.

What's not being stated here for those of you viewers, who this may not have worked for is you may also have a crystal in your ear canal and it's on your right side and not your left. You would need to perform this exact same maneuver by starting with your head to the right and doing everything exactly the opposite is this video shows. This video is for the left side only. If the crystal is in your right ear you would need to do everything on your right side, turning your head the opposite way sitting up the opposite way. Midfielder important to note here, that you do need to wait the full 30 seconds or up to 60 seconds for the crystals to travel through Troy inner ear canal's fluid. If, after performing these procedures, you do not get relief there is a chance that this may not be your problem and instead, research these common inner ear issues or other issues similar: Vestibular neuritis, Vestibular migraine, MDDS, SCDS or Meneire's DX. Seek a ear, nose and throat specialist.

I can't tell you how often this video has helped me and still helps me.
  • @1018Stacey
I just tried your technique and I notice a big difference in my right ear, less fullness and less pain in my neck on my right side, AMAZING! 😊 🤗
  • Thank you so much for posting this video! I appear to be having this issue this morning after experiencing severe stress due to job layoffs. This is a lifesaver as the condition is very alarming at first.
  • @stevedra123
Thanks so much for this video. I've had a problem all week which seemed to be getting worse, tried this this morning and feel so much better now! It's hard to believe such a simple series of movements can bring about such a change but it has! (touch wood!)
  • @dlkacz
It worked like a charm and I like this better than using a pillow under my shoulders. That made my neck & shoulders hurt. This procedure didn't. Thanks for the posting.
  • @Ravenwoods
Thank you for showing this, did the technique and the next day felt the relief!
