This week I finally get myself in the driving seat of the BMW E92 M3. A lifelong dream car of mine! The S65 4.0L naturally aspirated V8 produces 414hp with an absolute legendary soundtrack!

Massive thanks to Phil for lending me the car for the afternoon. If you have a car you would like us to review, get in touch with us today!

You know this car is historical because about 50 videos come out every year, year after year, praising it.
  • Straight onto Autotrader and Pistonheads looking for E92’s …… who’s with me?

Sold mine in August last year in Spain, moving back to the UK. Bought another one in February, couldn’t live without one. There’s nothing like it 😊

The last M car with a bespoke, motorsport derived, high revving, ITB equipped N/A motor! The look of the car has aged very well. Will never get rid of mine!
  • Completely agree with that, which is why I bought one, and did all those mods. I’ll never let it go. Love it, and love the way it makes me feel. Incredible cars.

Not a S65 but my 335IS (E92 N54) with a DCT is pretty sweet. Custom tune., Brembos, LSD, Konis, And ///M parts .. One of 269 in Lemans blue between 2011 and 2013.

    Been fortunate enough to own an E36 M3, E46 M3 for 10 years and currently own an E92 M3. I think the E46 is peak ‘M’ car.👌
  • @AlphaGT4
E46 is my favorite generation of M3. E92 is a close second!

Another Monte Carlo owner here :hand-pink-waving: well worth the 600 mile round trip from Buckinghamshire to Glasgow to collect!

give me a few years and one of these will be sitting on my drive🙏
  • I had a B3S BITURBO E92 and it was one of the best cars I ever had. E92 comes with clear lines and simple mascular design unlike the current M2 which I will never understand. Nice channel and makeup, keep going.

Absolutely gorgeous, the Monte Carlo blue has to be one of the best ever

8 years into my ownership. Only car i've ever owned that makes me smile each time i drive it! And still only on 35k miles

Had one, made some essential mods; decat, chiptune, brakes, gts software for dct and the car was glorious! That engine is just something else, it is almost in class with the porsche gt3 engine. I am going to buy one later when i have some spare room. Now chucking around in my m4, way better chassis but not that spectaculair engine.

I have to agree. I’ve owned an E46 M3 6spd, and have driven my buddies E92 M3 many times, as well as the E36 and E30 M3’s that other bids of mine had. I’ve also driven the F82 M4 several times. So I have some decent experience with M3’s. As quick as the F82 was, it lacked in driver connection compared to everything else. The E30 was awesome mostly for its nostalgia, but other than that, I was desiring more from it. The E36 felt too slow and didn’t really stand out among even my E46 in terms of driver connection. My E46 has a great balance of connection and power, but the E92 takes the E46’s great’ness, and just adds a bit more power, but amazing sound. So, I think the E90/92 is pinnacle BMW //M 100%. The only reason why I haven’t bought one is because of it atrocious gas mileage and rod bearing issues
