The world is a strange place, and its getting even stranger where Disney Lucasfilm is concerned. After firing Gina Carano from The Mandalorian a couple of years ago, she just announced that she's teamed up with Elon Musk in a major lawsuit against the company. Not only that, but Musk also hinted at a possible takeover bid with Nelson Peltz. Either way, Bob Iger is in a world of trouble right now.

  • Disney is all about strong, independent women… until she has opinions that they don’t like.
  • @Lochlann13
"One of the problems with strong, independent women is that they're strong and independent." Disney is exposing its hypocrisy by showing that in fact, they prefer vocal, opinionated women that they control completely.
  • @jessejustsick
This lawsuit is actually more interesting than anything disney has shat out over the past year.
  • "Smearing" isn't the word i'd use to describe what Disney did to Gina. No, it was more like a career assassination attempt, the "you'll never work in this town again" kind of defamation
  • They fired the one woman actress who actually looked like she could pull off her fight scenes. Off the top of my head, she may have been the buffest canon human in star wars.
  • Disney: "YOU TURNED EVERYONE AGAINST ME!" Gina Carano: "You have done that yourself!"
  • disney hired a mma fighter and was shocked that she was a mma fighter lol
  • I really hope they don’t agree to settle out of court. Disney needs to be humiliated for the whole world to see. You make your bed, you lie in it.
  • @ExMachina70
She had the audacity to be a strong and independent woman.

'Unfortunately Disney seems to be staffed mostly by people for whom the idea of having different viewpoints is as terrifying as hard work and accountability' 😂😂😂
  • @kneepayne
Ex-Lucasfilm here. That company is so vile on the inside, more than you can imagine.
  • What’s hilarious is that Gina’s characters merchandise were the top selling ones by a mile? Disney would rather go bankrupt than to stop relaying “the message”? It’s insanity.

When Carl Weathers passed away a few days ago, one of the top articles was slamming Carano for ‘using Weathers’ death to further her agenda’. The article basically said she posted that Weathers called her to express his support for her views after Disney fired her. In reality, her post was all about how Carl Weathers was like a mentor to her on the set of The Mandalorian, as they were both athletes turned actors.

If Disney were truly a family-centric company, they would be leading the way teaching tolerance, diplomacy and forgiveness. Instead, Disney acts like a punitive religious zealot.
  • @SmolFenFen
Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate... Leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you Disney
  • @TrueCanad1an
Disney is real world embodiment of "You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."
  • Her firing was actually a blessing in disguise because she skipped the atrocity that was Mando season 3
  • Disney is all about strong and independent women until they act strong and independent.

Our city is having her as a guest at the nerd expo. There was a whole bunch of comments on the FB announcement about it that were negative. I bet none of those people even know why she was fired.
  • the funniest thing about this was that this was predicted in 2019; when Elon Musk posted a photo of himself holding Gina’s machine gun-blaster
