"Macarthur Park" is the song that made me a true Donna Summer fan, once and for all. I liked several of her songs well enough up to that point, but this song blew me away and continues to amaze me, after all these decades. One would never know that it was a remake, the way that Donna Summer makes it her own.

I can remember back in 1978 when this album hit. When this side of the album was played in the clubs, the dance floor would be packed for a solid 18 minutes. It was heaven!!

When I realized that I was "different", disco music was probably one of the biggest moments that I will never forget. The people, the music and of course, Donna Summer. Her music is what gave me the opportunity to do drag. Her music turned me into another person. I only did drag about 3 times a year. It wasn't something I did every weekend like most female impersonators, I only did it because it allowed me to become Donna Summer. Her music still lives on within my heart. When I hear her music, she lives on forever.....
