Christian Michelsens gate Protected Bike Lane (Oslo, Norway - September 2023)

Christian Michaelsens gate is part of a ring road (Ring 2 - Fv161) around Oslo. The bike lane is lined with trees and passes great examples of density and access to public transit.
The ride begins by heading Eastbound where we see a one-way bike lane that is grade separated from the sidewalk. This bike lane is also well separated from car traffic by trees and a wide boulevard. Shortly after the first intersection we drop down to a bike lane connection which includes a wayfinding sign in the roundabout.
Next we turn around and ride Westbound. This directions also includes a wide separation from the road using a boulevard lined with trees. As we approach the bus stop we pass another wayfinding sign and a connection to a Northbound bike lane. At the bus stop we see a digital display indicating arrival times as well as an Oslo city bike station. As the ride continues we see more examples of wayfinding and electric buses.
