The Senate Judiciary Committee and Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee hold a rare joint hearing on Tuesday examining the security failures leading to the assassination attempt on former President Trump.

On July 13, a gunman at a rally in Pennsylvania attempted to assassinate former President Trump. The former president was injured, one person was killed and two others were critically wounded after the shooting. Witnesses testifying at the hearing include: Acting Director of the United States Secret Service Ronald Rowe and Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigations Paul Abbate.
