Luke is doing an excellent job of blocking jabs with his face.
  • Rockholds hands have never been that clean, he has a good check right hook, but his best asset on the feet are his kicks. And then hes a beast on the ground.

I love this. No better way to sharpen a skillset than to train with someone who specializes in that particular skill. I love MMA and I have so much respect and admiration for elite boxers.
  • @portugal7n5
Everyone taking shit. That's why he is going in the first place. TO LEARN. That's why is called MMA.
  • I bet all rockhold was thinking of was "spinning back kick ! Round kick! There's a take down opportunity ! He's open for a knee and elbow.
  • @LENTODAWG702
that's crazy how monstrous of a difference the styles are boxing is so beautiful and effective but mma fighters can't fight the same way cuz they're not just defending punches they're open to take downs kicks low kicks knees elbows clinch but I love how boxing movement and fluidity is so beautiful it's art

This is good work for Rockhold, Tabiti is just working with him. Going very light tho
  • @bossin2190
I love this! As an MMA fan it is amazing to see guys take the time to visit and train with a strict form of fighting to improve that area (in this case boxing) and evolve their MMA skills.
  • good intelligent sparring... the objective is to practice, learn...not kill each other. respect to both fighters for good control
  • @LaserrSharp
Rockhold will be champ soon. Boxing is rough but glad he's working on it. Glad they set him up with an up and comer so that he can learn a bit and not just get whooped.
  • people need to realize boxing in mma is different then actual boxing. when u are putting combinations in mma they are to set up your clinch, knees, kicks, takedowns as in boxing u are just setting up punches with other punches. however it is good to get training at a strictly boxing gym because alot of their techniques are different because they do not have to worry about checking kicks, or stuffing takedowns that is why luke throws an defends differently then the other guy. in mma u must worry about it all in boxing u don't so of course his boxing is superior to luke but if u put him sparring in mma sparring I bet u he won't do as good as luke did in strictly boxing.
  • He was going well considering this guy is a pure boxer, you can see the power Luke's got, imagine with 4 ounce and no headgear. When you consider that his round house is his biggest weapon striking, and how much of a beast he is on the ground, it's easy to see when you put it all together why he's the best in his weight class
  • @GETFUCT420
Hahaha now I know what nick Diaz was talking about when he said guys like rockhold showing up to a boxing gym with no shoes on lol
  • @poonug
perfect example of why you cant compare two combat sports
  • @AntFarmer47
Rockhold in there barefoot and everything 😂
  • All these chair warriors saying "real combat" and then boxing is not. Let me tell you something. I was in the marines. Had 7 amateur boxing fights in usa boxing. And trained in mma and sparred pro mma fighters and fought now pro boxers. BOXING is as serious and elite as it gets. Pros on tv make it look easy with unmentionably advanced defense. If they dropped their hands they would all be unconscious. Mma has more knockouts because they leave themselves wide open. This exposes it. It is what it is. I def give that guy props for going in the mayweather gym. He did very well. But lemme tell you the boxer is scary. You guys dont know the adrenaline felt against a fighter that scary and the power against your head of those punches. You cannot understand if you have not fought a sanctioned amateur fight, ATLEAST. It is not a fucking joke. I have had broken ribs, noses, concussions all from boxing. And people forget the amount of deaths in boxing. And kovalev was mentioned in these comments, who killed one of his opponents after putting him in a come he did not come out of. Mma is no fucking joke either but god damn people do not know how insanely deep water serious war boxing is man. Most people make it all through life without ever knowing the feeling of really getting a real proper ass beating. They live in a bubble and say mma is real fighting because its a fucking bar fight usually, with dudes swinging like they are in a bee hive and leaving their jaw open. They call that jaw spot the lights out spot in boxing because your nervous system goes through there and anyone can be dropped if they get hit on the jaw line..
  • @undeadpresident
Tabiti has great talent.  I am having trouble thinking of anyone out there with more natural ability in boxing right now.

When you're watching this, try to keep in mind that Rockhold's stance, habits, and fundamentals are all geared for an MMA fight (i.e. He's used to throwing more kicks and not relying so much on just his hands, he keeps hands low for takedown defense and for proper balance to throw kicks, etc.)
