Ward is an Olympic Gold Medalist and undisputed world champion, in a brutal weightclass too.  His technique IS the standard, not what some broke hillbilly taught u at a tae kwan doe storefront.  Plus, this is training, actual boxing is in ring fighting.  This sport is not a contest of form, like figure skating is.  Even so, his form is stellar.

You can see the intelligence when he punches and moves. Fights backwards, changes angles, slips, doubles up on either side, exits the pocket at an advantage angle, loops the right throws it straight measures. Impressive style.
  • That brotha is putting on an exhibition in shadowboxing. He is the definition of a “professional” boxer! One of the most intelligent boxers in this era.

You will not find a more technically sound fighter in the game today. Combined with his athletic ability makes him, in my opinion, the best p4p boxer in 2016.
  • Technique is so bad that he is the linear champ of his division, undefeated, and an Olympic gold medalist. *end sarcasm*

Sounds like the cameraman was eating a piece of cheesecake during the shoot.

His punches are compact and his speed is amazing....... No wonder why he won the super 6!
  • Ward was a polite killer. Very respectable, confident, and a monster.

Ward will be considered one of the greatest of all time because fighters and coaches study him so much. He is textbook with everything but also has great instinct on when to use what. He is like water.

The last TRULY great American boxer before Terence Crawford came along. One of the best, most technical middleweights ever
