Upgrading a Party City Cauldron | First Halloween Prop Build

Published 2021-10-28
Last year, we put our Halloween bags out on a table, which is lame. This year, I made a Cauldron Skull from commonly available materials that the trick-or-treaters can pull their "apple bags" from.

Huge thanks to my friends at Wicked Makers for their awesome cauldron tutorial! This was an enormous help and their explanations made a scary project feel more obtainable. Check out their cauldron video here:

This is my official entry in the Rockler Hobby Challenge! My family and I are huge Disney nerds, which includes the Disney World, Movies, Star Wars, Marvel, and theming as much as we can around Disney. It's been almost a "master hobby" that has spanned a few individual hobbies like travel and entertainment.

  • This was a very intimidating project, but some of my favorite projects are the ones that push me outside my comfort zone. What projects have pushed you outside your comfort zone?

That cauldron kicks butt! Great job on the build. All the details and features shows you've been thinking about this project for awhile! I hope the kids in your neighborhood appreciate it and don't egg your house! 😁 Really like how it looks with the leds lighting up the fog and the bags moving around!
