Join Dr. Fareed Zakaria, esteemed Washington Post columnist and CNN host as he delivers the 2024 Fulbright Distinguished Lecture at Pembroke College, Oxford on Friday 14th June, titled "Towards a Post-American International Order’, touching on new research conducted by Ipsos and the Policy Institute at King’s College London: www.kcl.ac.uk/policy-institute/assets/global-leade…

Almost 80 years on from the end of World War II, the international liberal order is under acute stress around the world while its main supporter, the United States, turns increasingly inward. In his 2024 Fulbright Distinguished Lecture, CNN host and best-selling author Fareed Zakaria examines the dramatic shifts in geopolitics we are currently witnessing and asks: what is going to come next? The lecture will begin at 5pm on Friday 14th June 2024.

The poll of 23,800 people across 31 countries compares attitudes towards nations and their global influence in 2024 with those from 2019, when 23 countries were surveyed on this issue. Dr Zakaria reflects on these findings in his lecture.

The lecture series is jointly organised by DPIR, Pembroke College, the US-UK Fulbright Commission, the Fulbright Association and the Lois Roth Endowment.
