I Remove A Hornet Nest - Start To Finish

Published 2024-07-16
I kill and remove a Bald Faced Hornet nest hanging above the front entryway porch of this house. Hornets are aggressive and will sting anything they think is a threat to their colony. I bring you along as I dust, kill and remove the nest from start to finish!

We are a small family owned pest control company in Northern Indiana that is growing and I want to document the journey. We deal with all pest insects and mice and rats in residential and commercial facilities.

  • Great removal. This video popped up in my feed today, I’ve taken out an in ground yellow jacket nest on my property each week in July. Been stung countless times. Good call on having a backup method to spray into the hive. Going to subscribe to your channel and follow the Youtube journey. Keep it up!

Not going to lie, it looked like the pole duster worked for a couple of pumps and then did nothing.

I have a white faced hornets nest on the side of my house about six feet away from a window that is always open this time of years so that the cats can go in and out as they please. Only two of them have actually come into the house as far as i know. One of them died on a kitchen counter, and am not sure why. The other one i thought was dead floating in a bowl filled with water in the sink. I scooped it out with a spoon and noticed it was still alive. I could have just washed it down the sink, but decided to just toss it out the window where it could possibly recover and rejoin the hive. If it has any intelligence it will know that coming in the house is not the safest place to go. That nest has been there for a few weeks, but i just noticed it a couple days ago. I am out there frequently doing yard work and hanging out with the cats. I have never even seen any of the hornets fly anywhere near me. So far, i have been leaving them alone and they have been leaving me and the cats alone. They have been doing their thing which is probably hunting other bugs in my yard and working on their hive. At this point, i am not really sure what i will do about it.
