One of the most humorous things about the Fable series is how the art director for the third game John McCormack argued with Microsoft for weeks demanding that the game box have a black female lead on the cover. MS told them no saying that it wasn't representative of the audience they had. It's hard to believe that just 13 years ago companies knew what their audience was and wanted to cater to them.

Starfield is loaded with this nonsense I actually found a coffee mug that says "never apologize for being a powerful f*#cking woman" combine that with the insane amount of women leaders in this game (seriously its like 90%) we can't escape this shit 😂

The big issue with Persona 3 is that the remake will almost always have a neutered version of the translation. Even if you play with Japanese voices, you're still subjected to the localization. Any "problematic" lines in the Japanese script or the original translation will be censored.

The sad part is that they could make an average looking woman to be the protagonist of Fable, but no, they make a point of making her ugly. You can't make this shit up. It's beyond ridiculous

We've reached a creative dead end in pop culture, in games and in movies, all of them feels the same thing. It's the perfect time to replay the old and classic titles from when gaming was still fun

Zoomies won't remember, but not too long ago, mainstream publications would carefully keep a count of how many women were onstage and IN the games and if they deemed it too low (ie always), they would create multiple articles shaming the shows and the developers. Synth's counting gag is just well deserved revenge.

This has been my stance for a couple of years now, "If it features black and brown people prominently, I don't buy it." Same for strong female characters or messages about gay and trans rights etc. All this pandering just takes you out of the game before you even started it.

Also Game journalism be like: Gameplay = 5% Cinematics = 95% At this point they should make a Netflix show instead of a game that is barely playable.
