The Terrible Secret About Hollywood BARRY WHITE Died With..
So, Barry Eugene Carter, later known as Barry White, came into this world on September 12, 1944, in Galveston, Texas. His parents, Melvin A. White and Sadie Marie Carter, never tied the knot. So, Barry got his mom's last name at first, but he switched to his dad's name later on. They settled in the Watts neighborhood of South Central Los Angeles, California. Barry was the big brother to Darryl, who was just a year younger. Growing up, Barry soaked in his mom's classical music collection and got hooked on the piano, trying to copy what he heard on those records.

    What a voice Barry White had🗣 R.I.P.
  • His story was a great inspiration. He tired of the gang life and the bad neighborhood he was in. He walked fourteen miles to l.a. with barely a dollar to his name. He was amazed at how nice people were to him and the absence of crime. He got a job as a custodian and by dint of hard work and talent he made a success of his life. Could not read a note but was able to produce some beautiful music the stuff of Hollywood movies. R.I.P. maestro.
