    I always thought Maurice Gibb was the genius behind the Bee Gees. He was the only true musician in the group and produced their songs. Barry and Robin great singers and writers but they needed Maurice.

    Loved Barry and Maurice, and Robin had an incredible voice. But Robin also had the attitude that he was God's gift to the entire universe and tried to insist that everyone recognize and worship him for that. It didn't go over well with his two brothers and brought a great deal of contention between the three. When Robin demanded to be the BeeGees lead singer permanently, his demands almost caused another major breakup of the three. If Barry hadn't held his ground on that one, the BeeGees would have ended years before Maurice's death. As far as Barry's sexual orientation, why would that be anyone's business but Barry's?
