Situated between the peaks of the Vosges mountains and the Plain of Alsace, Riquewihr is a medieval town right in the heart of the Alsatian vineyards, classified among the «Most Beautiful Villages in France». Located 50 minutes from Strasbourg and 20 minutes from Colmar by car.

    Back in May of 2018, as part of a self planned and guided 'tour' of the Alsace, I visited Riquewihr. Compared to what is seen here, the streets were all but deserted. Same for just about every other town. Eguisheim, Turckheim, Kaysersberg, Bergheim along with a host of others. The only town that looked this crowded was Ribeauville, causing me to quip 'They must be giving something away in Ribeauville'. As an avid amateur photographer I enjoyed the quiet streets. Nothing is more annoying than to take an otherwise nice image of a place like this only to look at it later and find some guy in cutoff jeans and a Pittsburgh Steeler jersey just happened to wander into the frame at the crucial instant.... 🤬😂 Wonderful area for sure.

    хорошо тут жить=это счастье! дома большие=богатые люди...я в Крыму=тоже неплохо,но колорит совсем другой!
