  • This is a fairly accurate depiction of the city if David and the natural landscape that existed in his day; which is very different now because the hillside has been largely destroyed. The one important thing that is missing in the drawings is the granite spire that stood on the highest level of Mount Moriyah (הר מוֹרִיָּה). This granite outcropping was almost 75’ tall and took up most of this level; it is one of the the reasons that the Mik’dash (Temple) was built on the level just above the kings palace (where the “threshing floor” stood); this is where David built an altar to Adonai to stop the “plague” the Elohim was bringing to Yis’rael, and it is where David intended for the Beyt-Elohim (House of G-d) to be built. The North side of the Mik’dash protective outer wall was eventually built against the Opel (steep rise leading to the highest level; that area had a hill which took up part of the area were the first Mik’dash was built; this was eventually removed so the area was larger and flat; then the six out buildings were added on two sides of the Mik’dash (referenced in Mishnah). The most important reason for the Mik’dash bring built just above the palace was access to the water of the Gihown Spring. At that time, the water would rush underground from the reservoir on the other side of the Kidron valley and would shoot up a well-shaft within the walls of the Mik’dash to supply the “living water” needed for the sacrifices and cleansing in the mikvot. A large earthquake in the first century caused the water to become bitter, and it no longer rose from the Gihown like a geyser (which is where it got the name “dragons well”); this is when a water wheel was added to the well shaft to hoist the water into the Mik’dash (referance the Mishnah). Today the water of the Gihown is a gentle steady stream. When Rome incorporated Y’hudah (ֲיְהוּדָה - Judah) as part of their empire, they built Fortess Antonia on the highest level; which covered about 35 acres; like every other Roman fort of this period. Unlike the other Roman forts, they had to contend with the granite spire, which is why the walls were made 45-60 feet tall depending on the side. After the walls were built around the spire, and a large hose stable structure was made at the base, they back filled the entire area inside the walls to make a level place for the legion (6000 troops and about 2000 servents) to make their encampment. Three ancient historians say it appeared to be a large city, having shops, housing, entertainment, and servants structures. The only portions of the granite spire that can still be seen are inside the Mask, and along one wall of a tunnel that goes part way under the old fort. If the walls were removed, along will the dirt, the granite would be clearly seen today. Which make one wonder why tradition has taken president over reason; since the walls are man made, and the granite can bee seen inside the Mask, there is no question why the Mik’dash stood just below the Ophel; the water of the Gihown spring still being the greatest reasons for why it was built where it was. Given all the archeological discoveries in recent years, the palace of king David and Sh’lomoh being among the greatest discoveries in terms of locating the site of the Mik’dash, it makes me wonder if Adonai has permitted the COVID virus to come just to slow down the rate of these discoveries while some final key portions of prophecy are being fulfilled. Once the Mik’dash is rebuilt, only three years will remain until haSatan is bound and cast to Sheol for a thousand years; and Y'rushalyim haChadashah (The New Jerusalem) will stand where the first two stood. Baruch HaShem!
  • God bless & thank you for unraveling the story of the true origins of Faith ! 🇮🇱Shalom .

You make really beautiful videos that I learn a lot from. Thank you! What music do you put behind the videos? Greetings from the Netherlands🇳🇱
  • @trishplanck9776
I really enjoy your videos, but may I ask, is there a way that you could lower the background music for the video so it would be easier to hear/understand your narration? If not, I would still watch, it’s just a bit difficult at times to understand what you are saying over the music. 🥴Thanks 🙏
  • Thank you for this video. Your efforts are appreciated. I know someone who has a birthmark that is at least 90% in the same shape as Mount Moriah and the city of David/Ancient Jerusalem. Shalem!
  • Please do more history and religious videos. Going back to the history of the Bible in the Old Testament. Your videos are so awesomely done and so easy to see the different tribes in the area where they go to get the maps you use are just great they really help with Bible study. Thanks. Thank you so much Sandra probably

If David was instructed to build his altar on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, (which has been found and was in The City of David), and the temple was built upon the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite, doesn't that tell you that Israel currently has the wrong location for where they say the temple stood?
  • Although your videos are well prepared and you presend it as good as you can, it is still a bit difficult for us to really comprehend all you did so thoroughly, but we can stil get a little bit understanding of what it was in those days, again thank you for your channel, we still learn alot from it....God bless you and your family....

Hi..really enjoyed watching your documentary....have a big question for you ..what about a true location of the Temple? Is not located in the city of David? Not on the Temple mount where really was located fort Antonia. . Really like to know your opinion Thank you Regards Jaroslaw

Every time I watch your animations I keep asking how they managed the water? Where was the highest source of the gihon spring? How did they manage its outflow? And how did the flow of the spring reach the temple? Where did devotees bathe before entering the temple? Thanks
