mfw i find a person who posts really cool looking art only to realize “oh wait, they just used ai”
  • @ac1d.fl0w3r9
Twitter and TikTok are the worst apps for artists to post i swearrr 😭😭
  • @badlie4858
"you are ai racist" 😳😳😳 the ai bros' delulu level reaches new heights

I’m so sick of this AI thing for making “art”. I just found it horrible. AI is supposed to help in some way, not to screw us up
  • The worst part about these fake "artists" is the fact that social media addicts are calling everything surreal/abstract "AI" when it very clearly is not AI-generated. Expert photographers have been the biggest target of these horrible "AI" comments, and it's gotten to the point where photographers are now having to record their process in order to prove they took the photo. Ironic how photographers have always been mocked for not being "real" artists, yet now they're the ones getting harassed for "AI photos" that are actually real photos lol. Media literacy has really gone downhill if we're attacking real artists for being even mildly better than Calarts students.

Here in Brazil, a woman generated a lot of AI images and exhibited them in a shopping mall, IN ADDITION TO SAYING THAT IF VAN GOGH WERE ALIVE TODAY HE WOULD USE AI. SHE SAID VAN GOGH WOULD USE AI.

To me, AI art is someone ordering food and saying that they cooked it. I mean, yeah, you got food, but you didn't cook it and it doesn't make you a chef.

I hate how any time I want to search for a reference photo, I'm immediately hit with ai art. Just a few days ago, I and a friend were searching through merch from shows we like, and it was just filled with ai generated images
  • It really is a shame how the sharp decline in media literacy is directly affecting the rate at which AI-generated images are being posted... which causes REAL ARTISTS to get attacked for no reason at all.

Another bad side of ai is that real artists like myself are being called fake, or in my case literally being harassed in dms and having comments on my posts, acusing me of being an ai artist. It's infuriating that we are are getting the hate that should go to these ai people.

Anyone else just stopped posting their art on the internet entirely? Sorry I don't want to be one day ""featured"" on civitai. Absolutely wild times we live in where blatant theft is happening and nobody cares.
  • @Kacey_art
Its getting bad, when i google anime pictures/something related to anime/art theres ALWAYS that ai art picture SOMEWHERE. I don't know if its my search results that are cursed 😔

The last time I felt like the art community was in its best era was literally 2000-2009 deviantART I may be biased because I felt the most community when I was there. It makes it hard to look where we are now and go, "wow, deviantart was pretty okay back then actually."
  • @Cat_Mary1
This is truly disheartening. As someone who's still early on their art journey, I sometimes catch myself thinking 'what's the point?' when I see the art community like this. I'm not gonna give up this time, but it still bums me out.

why does all this kinda remind me of how people on amino would have like. rules in the communities where youd have to show the layers or put your hand in front of the drawing with ur username it was for entirely different reasons but im still getting deja vu lol they didnt trust ANYONE on that platform (and for good reason tbh)

What bothers me most about Petra's case is that I had read that she apparently went to art school to only use AI. Not to mention that when they tell her that she uses AI and she shouldn't do that, she gets arrogant with her answers as if she were untouchable 😑 And those same "artists" who use AI, pretend to be people who strive to "create art", while dude, you did nothing.

It sucks real artists never get the recognition they deserve
