Word has it that Dutch Van Der Linde is coming into Blackwater to meet with the Banker. John heads to the bank joining Edgar Ross and his posse. The posse ends up on a roof across the courtyard from the bank and must snipe Dutch's gang before they get away.

Once inside the bank, a small stand-off between Marston and Dutch ends with the death of a female bank worker and Dutch's escape. The posse rides a short distance tailing Dutch, killing more of his gang along the way. Despite finding Dutch's automobile burning on the side of the road, he still manages to escape. Ross, of course, blames Marston.

  • I can just hear dutch's speech on his way there. "We're robbin blackwater!! One. Last. Time!!"
  • When is he gonna learn robbing Blackwater banks just doesn't work out.

Despite being insane, he still remembered how old Jack was.
  • I love how John manages to keep his composure when Dutch tries to get in his head, when really Dutch was the one who trained John not to let people mess around with him so he can focus.
  • It’s crazy how much loss can change a man. Dutch went from being dapper af to robbing banks in his onesie pajammies
  • 4:52 There’s something sincere about Rob’s delivery of “It’s over man.” There’s a lack of contempt in it, like John doesn’t feel personal animosity towards Dutch, nor does he still admire him, but still has enough history with him to address him casually and sincerely.

Damn, Dutch killed an innocent woman in Black Water for the second time!
  • @DocMortsnarg
The way they wrote the character arc for Dutch in reverse is almost like a magic trick!

6:20 “chase Dutch with agent ross” its so sad to see Ross marked with blue and Dutch marked with red in rdr1😞
  • @archie4497
Imagine Arthur Survived and John had to kill Arthur to save his family. That’d be the saddest thing ever

5:00 I like how this makes perfect sense now after playing RDR2. It’s amazing how well they made the prequel without killing the authenticity of dialogues in RDR.
  • @MrBlack252
I bet John was cringing when he heard Ross say "Dutchs boys are in there"
  • @CastorDeEuropa
So, Dutch kills two women, both during a robbery that ended with the Pinkerton showing up.
  • @KusabiTetsugoro
You know that the prequel is well made when you’re listening to the dialogues in the original game and they still make perfect sense

At the end Dutch just became like Colm O' Driscoll, having alot of indian natives without knowning their names. After the fall of the Van Der Linde gang, it was all about numbers for Dutch. Ontop of that, After Dutch seeing John with the law like that, he clearly must think he was indeed the rat all along.
