Growing a piano channel is especially hard because of the sheer amount of content being posted every single day. The competition is massive and it is increasingly higher as you are reading this. There are so many well established piano youtubers already and you may ask yourself this question “How on Earth will I ever be able to make any kind of income on YouTube?”

I hope you will watch the rest of this video if you are interested in finding out what I’ve learned by being on YouTube for 2 years now and how you can potentially start making some income as well. My advice not only comes from my experience with this particular piano channel, but also from my second YouTube channel which is monetized and close to 10.000 subscribers as well:

  • What's really interesting to see is that your two viral videos took off 6 months or more after you first published them. This gives me hope I've been trying to grow my Youtube channel over the past few months, and knowing that there's still a chance that videos can be to be picked up by the algorithm months later is very encouraging. Thanks for posting behind the scenes. P.s I'm also a piano channel 😃
  • Michael, you know I love you and your music. No one else can put as much passion in what he, or she, is playing and to watch your body transfer that passion from your soul into your fingers, as they do their ballet across the keys, is sheer pleasure. To see your smile, as you play, displays how much enjoyment you get while filling the world with your music. You also help people, so much, with your instructional videos. I am so glad your channel is bringing in more subscribers and income. I remember, in the early days, when the subscribers were in the low hundreds and knew your talents would eventually push those numbers into something much larger. My friend, thank you for your dedication to your craft and for the many, thankless, hours you have spent bringing only your best efforts to us. You are a gentleman who deserves much more appreciation for your achievements and I am pleased to see you finally getting some of it. Congratulations on your continued success. 🤗💖🎹🎼🎶
  • @Hierrito

  • @YotamPiano
Wow, that's crazy.. you're already at 10k (and deservedly so). I'm enlighted. Seems like a need to reconsider my uploads as well.. It's hard thinking of ideas. It's hard coming up with what to do. And I agree, you're a great addition to the YouTube community for so many reasons.

Master, this information you are giving is too useful. It helped me a lot about some thoughts a was having about some content to create and also about how it works. I appreciate it a lot! Thank you!
  • @DanielVoeller
Hey Michael, this is very helpful to me, trying to get back into content creation! Thanks for the tips!

I was just surfing through YouTube when I came across your video and was intrigued cause I myself am a guitar channel . Posting daily and not getting a lot of views demotivates me but your video helped me a lot in gaining a new perspective that I maybe just need to patient and still work hard. ❤❤
  • @skylane1829
I would like to play the piano, watching you gives me hope….keep them coming brother and thanks.
  • @lpa9974
    Thank you — very honest!

Finally some real insights on a (great) piano channel :-) thank you. I just started uploading some of my piano stuff end of last year and you are absolutely right. There has to be more than just nice music. Looking forward to more insights. Sometimes I don’t really get how the algorithm decides what metrics it should use. However in the end my current benefit of building my own piano channel is that I realize that I am getting a better player again and that is absolutely worth the time spent.
  • Thank you for this video! I think I will use this advise to help my piano channel grow, honestly. First, I will change my profile picture to something more. . . pianoey lol. I have an idea for something most people would like. . .
  • Yo, Love your content. I'm also a piano youtuber trying to grow my channel to hopefully one day get monetized. Thanks for the tips!
  • @markaprill6501
Shopping for a high end stage piano led me to sub. Your skill level is high.

I have a suggestion I would LOVE to see.. A video of your setup with speakers etc of your MP11se.. What is needed. What brand is best.. I plan on buying the same keyboard and it is hard to find a good explanation of the setup needed. I'm not going to gig. It's for home use. I think that would be an awesome video. I have read a lot of questions about this on the net but not one answer displays a video or a complete answer to the question. I am a new subscriber and I love your channel and your beautiful music.. It plays in the background during the day..
  • You are a wonderful addition to the YouTube community and such a great talent.

What I'd really be interested in is how much this video brings in.
