He’s back where it all began. Richard Madeley is returning to the This Morning sofa today, to tell us about enacting vengeance in the Cotswolds… in his new novel ‘Father’s Day’. We’ll be finding out about his life away from the camera, as a bestselling author, and he’ll be revealing how he’s finding those early GMB starts, after previously vowing he’d never do morning television again.

LOVE the Madeleys. They remind me of being at my Grandma's house in the 90s watching This Morning with her whilst doing housework. Haha. Lovely wholesome memories. ❤

Still happens now a day off school and it's This Morning 😂
  • @zoewtang
When I was younger if I sick off school I’d watch this morning and all the property fixing shows lol 😂
  • @hugoboss5895
Double maths followed by double p.e . No. ritchard and Judy followed by neighbours and knots landing 😂
  • @sandy4227
Bring back Richard & Judy If Judy doesn't want to do it then Richard and his daughter would be brilliant 👌

That world back then was just different, homely and relatable. Indeed, no Sky even back then. So happy I was a kid and lived the experience. These were half-term breaks and school holidays.

I absolutely adore Richard I’ve grown up with him. When this morning first aired in October 1988 I was 11 years old. He used to catch my attention so much I didn’t want to go to school. I’m so glad that over 35 years later he’s still around and looking absolutely no different to how I remember him. An amazing presenter, journalist and entertainer. Congrats with your new books too buddy, I shall be reading them

My mum would set the VHS to record This Morning every day and I'd come home from school and we'd watch it together, eating sandwiches. Richard and Judy have never been bettered as This Morning presenters, please bring them back! If not, another husband and wife team would be fantastic, Ruth and Eamon, Tess and Vernon, they've got chemistry that you can't create!

Love this, although Richard said back then no laptops or i Phones, true about the i phones but not Laptops hs memory-I remember when one of the early episodes they were giving away -The "Tandy 200" Laptop. in a prize! They should of had Judy on as well!

Richard is like a cartoon character. “If I could sum it up in a minute…” [three minutes later]. I bet Richard would love to be a killer.
  • @wesstarmedia
Richard and Judy knew how to be impartial in journalism and presenting. Since then, things have rapidly gone downhill, hence why I don't watch legacy media anymore.
