I actually got my ex back. After 3 weeks of nc she contracted me actually saying the words “I want you back” “I made a mistake” “I miss you”. The best thing I ever did was let her go. I know it’s hard. But if someone was able to put you through so much mental issues. Break your heart. They don’t deserve you and you deserve better. Realise your worth guys.

We both blocked each other, it’s not meant to be so I’m not messed up about it. I believe God has someone great in store for me.

She messaged me shortly before Xmas to wish me well, after 10 months of silence, to say tough times last year put things in perspective and I meant a lot to her. I cordially thanked her for the well wishes, told her take care, and didnt reciprocate her expressions of "deep feelings." I've realised I was in love with the idea of her, not the person she is. 🙄

After 5 months of being blocked my ex reached out at 12:17am Christmas morning to tell me "merry Christmas " and then reblocked me before I woke up to see the message. Crazy how the mind works late at night lol

@4:45 Blocking an ex on social media can go either way, depending on their attachment style. Dismissive avoidants stalk exes on Instagram while Fearful avoidants block and unblock then will shut you out of their life forever.

My ex contacted me after 2 months of no contact. His message was “I am dating your friend lol”. I ignored him.

Sometimes you break up with a person and are able to move on quickly, but there is always that one person who you just can't get over. I'm 37 and have been in a few relationships and been married. And never got stuck like I am with my current ex. It's been 5 months and I am still in love with her and no matter the emotional hell she put me through when she broke up with me. The time apart only made me see my mistakes and her point of view that I did not see while in the relationship. If she asked me to give us another chance I would make sure to learn from my mistakes and love her the way she deserves. Because I do love her and no amount of "just move on" has helped me forget my baby girl.
