Upper Goose Pond Cabin tent site (mi. 1555.7) to Levardi’s (mi. 1576.1) Camping tonight in Dalton, MA in the backyard of well known trail angel Tom Levardi. He lets people tent in his backyard for free, there are 14 tents here tonight. The AT runs right by his house here in town. A few of us walked about a mile from here to the local rec center where they’ll let you shower for free. We hit the burrito place across the street right after.
The day started out great with homemade pancakes for breakfast, which was nice because it poured for the first couple of hours in the morning, but then cleared up decently. We hit the Cookie ladies house in the early afternoon which was really cool (the video will give you a good recap) It’s about 6 miles to Pittsfield, MA from here, we are planning on spending tomorrow night there then getting back at it on Thursday.

Todays menu: A can of Sprite, a large chocolate chip cookie, a chicken mango burrito, hamburger, salad, 5 small chocolate chip cookies, small salad, a can of coke, 6 small pancakes, a can of orange soda, 2 pints of ice cream, multiple fountain drink sodas, chips & salsa, and water with Carnation instant breakfast mix.

Thank you for taking the time to answer questions about hiking the AT at the coffee shop this morning. Look forward to watching as you complete the trail.
  • Liquid sunshine! I love hiking in the rain as long as it’s not 10 days in a row.
  • Soggy Sloggy 😂😂 That’s pretty good on falls considering all the miles you have covered! 😆 That’s a cool idea to pick the berries for the burgers! 🍔 That food looked delicious.
