my thoughts after living 1 year in Germany

It's been a whole year since I moved to Germany. It didn't really feel like that to be honest.

I feel like the first year is the hardest, you don't know anything or anyone. Although it is difficult at first, it's also exciting. Life is like a box of chocolate, you never know what your gonna get.

But here is how the year went for me.

This is NOT a deja vu. I uploaded the video again because it had sound issues. I dont really know why to be honest. But i got a good laugh out of it.

Your series about Netherlands really helped me settling down nicely last year when I started studying in Groningen. You have my thanks, Erika!

Hei, thank you for all the love and support! The person replying to every comment with a newsletter and a reward isnt me, it s a scam. :( I will try to remove and report them And I DO NOT watch ben shapiro, it was just a reaction to his clip from a podcast.

I can't believe the apartments don't come with kitchens. Where I live they have everything even washers and dryers😅
  • Honestly, thank you for this video. I'm also exactly 1 year in Germany (came from Ukraine in March 2022), but I follow the route of learning German first, which means Deutschkurs 4 days a week for 4 hours (+ an hour of commute and 2 hours of Hausaufgaben). And I was feeling quite disheartened because I still didn't find a job with my primary specialty (I'm learning for my B2 exam now). So it's nice to see that the struggle is real for all of us Zuwanderers. Love your videos! I see Köln in your Christmas video btw -- the Weinachtsmarkt game is real here for sure.
  • I'm so sorry you had a lot of difficulties, I've been there myself. But you will have tons more experiences and good memories all the heavy stuff will go away. Don't let it spoil your expectations for anything. Just move forward. I can't wait to see whatever you post. You're incredibly fun and informative to watch and I support you in whatever you do.
