For those who are against Robert Downey Jr as Doctor Doom. Just remember he met already for the role back in 2005 before Iron Man. So I don't see what the problem is. He could be an Iron Man variant cuz Tony was Doctor Doom in the comics.

I’m a bit skeptical about RDJ being Doctor Doom. One one hand, I would’ve preferred another actor to take on the character. But on the other, we’ve seen how good RDJ can act outside the cool guy Tony Stark archetype, so for him to play another Marvel character so wildly different from Iron Man can potentially be interesting. And depending on the direction they take with Victor Von Doom, RDJ could pull it off. Remember that this is a character that we only ever see wearing his mask because of the accident he had with the Fantastic Four which left his face permanently disfigured, so they don’t need to rely so heavily on RDJ’s face.

Man, Robert Downey Jr is just swimming in money. He deserves it.
