The chemistry on this team is the most solid!!! Kate's draft is my favorite part of that draft too, it felt exciting because it is not a news that is regurgitated back and forth by the media. It can get saturated and exhausting most of the time, too much noise when too many people are talking. Her draft is special. When Aja and Kelsie showed their love to the Iowa coaches, that says a lot. This team got class. I mean it.

The most valuable guidance she got from her coach was to emulate Alysha Clark, one of the finest defenders in the league. She has a lot to gain from her experience, and it's heartening to see her readiness to provide mentorship. Alysha truly exemplifies class!

Caitlin fan first, but only since 3 months ago when some compilations dropped in my YT feed. Then an Iowa fan, watching as many game videos as possible and becoming fans of the other Hawkeyes - Hannah, Gabbie, Monika, Syd, Molly and of course Kate. Beside myself when she got drafted but on tenterhooks until she was confirmed. Watching this with, and I can't explain why, tears running down my cheeks. I love to see her doing so well. Fantastic episode, thanks to all concerned. Oh, and belated happy birthday to our girl!

Such a good and heartfelt tribute. Big Caitlin fan here, but to get to know Kate Martin is to love her. Like Caitlin, just a deeply genuine and good person. No wonder they are best friends. So happy the Aces were smart enough to draft her and can see the gem they've got. She will give everything she's got to help them succeed. She's a winner.
