Let's talk about how Alpha Omega CRUSHED all hope in Treyarch?! The Black Ops 4 life cycle was a wild ride and the Chaos Story was getting all the love and support, leaving the 10 year long Aether story finale to be left in the dust. Were the reimagining's intentional? We will never know. But despite the developers missteps regarding the content offering of Black Ops 4 Zombies, did Alpha Omega really deserve all the disdain it received on its launch day?

Oh and btw... if you are into it, why not subscribe ;)

i dont hate the BO4 maps but the fact that every single ultimis/primis map is a remake is the biggest robbery i think we've ever seen in a zombies.

I feel like the VIBE of this map felt like classic cod zombies for once. It wasn't full of fantasy creatures and stuff, it was full of sciency, post-apocalyptic-ness and I loved every bit of it. It's just a shame that such a normal map had to be the endgame map for zombies.
  • I think Activision has ironically lost its "vision" of what they're supposed to be doing. They have no idea what they're doing. They'd actually make more money if they just let the developers do their job but they can't, they think the guys in suits in board offices know what's best and this is the result. Treating development teams like an NFL roster is not a great idea.

I love how passionate you sounded when talking about the narrative. More cod zombies fans need to appreciate it fr
  • You can't be serious and tell me a Nuketown Zombies remake was intended to be the last Primis & Ultimis map, the OG plan was The Great War and Activision just fucked up the perfect ending

This is the most fair view on AO ive seen since the maps launch. I fell out of bo4 long before the dlc cycle even started, but when I came back to the game years later, AO was the first map i decided to beat because it was the most fun Aether map there was imo. Lots of what AO did was actually great for the narrative as you said, and while i totally agree what it did was overall good, i do feel everything it did was cut short by how little Tag Der Toten gave us while finishing it up. Bo3 ended with a really bland ending, but at least it felt totally finished. Bo4 made me feel like we were missing something HUGE that Treyarch really wanted us to experience (The Great War, most notably). And then on top of that Cold War brings BACK the aether story in some capacity, but then they just stopped doing that??? so now the story is left somehow more incomplete than it even was then.

Ah Alpha Omega. A map I've always overlooked. You make a fair point. If bo4's remaining budget wasn't sacrificed. AO and Tag could have been amazing. Comparing it to the other maps. Dead of the night was complex but enjoyable. Aincent evil was amazing. It's one of my top 3 maps. And Tag der toten. It was took a while to set up. But gameplay was simple. Train zombies, Thunder gun them. Etc. Ao just felt tedious and overly complex. From setting up. To building the mark 2 upgrades. To the soul box Easter egg. (Literally every step involved a soul box) AO had little room to innovate. Combine that with a reduction in budget. And a remake of Nuketown.... It's just unfortunate. I bet treyarch would have smashed expectations if things had gone to plan.

This was randomly in my suggested, and I’m glad it was! Bro this editing is awesome especially for someone with only 500 subs. You deserve a lot more recognition for these videos, super entertaining. You got a new sub, please do more zombies related content! EDIT: Just found your other channel, even at 16k you have some good editing and overall entertaining content. Even still, would love to see some more video essay content like this maybe on bo3, bo2, bo1, IW or WW2.

I gotta say bro, this content is high end stuff, especially seeing your still a small creator. I love zombies and this type of content. You’ve earned me as a sub, and congrats on almost being monetized you got this!!

DId you make this? Crazy good work man. I am just working on doing the AO ee so I guess that's why this popped up
  • I get why the title is the way that it is, and I probably wouldn't have clicked on the video if it didn't make me mad as a BO4 fan but this is a good vid, great work! I hope you're able to get an audience off more zombies content, always need more people keeping this silly mode alive.
  • Alpha Omega was a really good map. The only bad thing about it was that it was in BO4 where they messed up all of the zombies features.
  • This is some of the best zombies content I’ve seen since bo3, keep up the good quality content bro I hope to see you big one day
  • @Thatguy27250
